Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomThe room was a double when we requested a twin. The room was very small and a strange shape, very disappointed in the size and space, it felt like it was a converted store cupboard. Had to squeeze a small suitcase between the corner of the bed and the wall to get to the clothes rail.

United KingdomCheck in didn't go smoothly, there seems to be problems if you book through Booking.com with room rates. Breakfast was good apart from the lid for the hot server used for hash browns was missing but they were still put on and were cold.
Location was good. Problems we had were sorted quickly. Good to get breakfast included.

United KingdomThe shower pressure could have been a bit more. There was a noisy boiler or something that affected my sleep on the first night although not the second night.
Room was on the top floor but the lift was working well so that was fine. Room was spacious and clean with a comfortable sofa. Breakfast was included which was good and it was quite adequate for my needs. The shower was fine although a bit more pressure would have been nice. Location was pretty central - 10 minute walk from St Peter's Square

United KingdomWe had twin single beds and to be honest they weren’t very comfortable. The pillows were lovely and the sheets were good quality but the beds feel like they’re in need of an upgrade. Lumpy in places. I struggled to get comfortable. I also wish the TV had been a smart TV for Netflix etc.
The staff were outstanding. Friendly, welcoming and helpful. The hotel was in a great location, it was clean and did a fantastic breakfast. The room was spacious and well stocked, also very clean and had a nice view from the window. The air con was great too and the wifi was free and faultless.

NetherlandsIt's very inconvenient that the air conditioner cannot be adjusted by myself. I stayed there for 3 nights and it was restarted every day. Even I had to go to the front desk to make a request to turn on the air conditioner, and then went downstairs again to make the request because the temperature was not right. One of the times the staff ignored my request and just turned the temperature down to the lowest possible temperature of 19 degrees. In addition, the room card also lost its function twice, so in the past three days, after work meetings, I ran to the front desk to ask for service many times. It also took a long time to wait for lift, which made me very frustrated.
Breakfast and front-desk service is nice. Really convenient.

Location is fantastic near uni halls as was moving daughter back home for summer and air con that works is a bonus. Didn’t have a hairdryer. Went to reception and they asked me to check whether it was on the shelf about the wardrobe. Checked, there wasn’t but a brand new one in the box was delivered to the room within a few minutes. Really good service with a smile
