Nothing to complain

Went to stay over for a night as I had gone to attend a conference. The location is beautiful, although it's not adjacent to the lakes (the prices would also be accordingly then) but the lake is visible from a distance outside the hotel. I would love to have gone for a walk had it not been for the conference. The room and washroom was very clean and tidy. They had provided desk fan, hair dryer, iron, iron board, complimentary tea/coffee/milk. The internet wifi was free for the residents. The bed and pillows were very comfy. I had booked my 8 am slot for breakfast where I was greeted by very hospitable staff who took my order and served a very delicious hot breakfast. I would love to stay over with my family one day (very soon). It also has free onsite parking.

The shower in room 32 was disappointing if not dangerous. It would switch from normal to icy cold and then scolding hot in a few seconds!

More dinner options for the vegetarians

We had booked 2 rooms. Family room was spacious, gorgeous views and bunk bed for the kids. Loved by all. And another cozy double bed, which had a great view as well, but was a tad bit small. But overall we were happy with our rooms. The views from the lounges were breathtaking. The breakfast had good options for vegetarians and was quite filling.

We had a signature room(16), excellent size, stunning view overlooking lake with nice large bath with TV and separate shower. Breakfast was faultless as was dinner with good choice of options. All staff we encountered were friendly and provided excellent service.

We stayed in a ‘cosy’ room, which was a lovely en-suite room in a smaller side building. The hotel and room itself was clean and modern, with all the facilities you would need. The lady on reception was so lovely and made the check in process easy. The hotel was located right in the middle of Windermere and Bo’ness on Windermere, a 10 minute walk from each which was perfect. The breakfast included in the price had lots of options, great value for money and was quick in being made.

A wonderful stay over May halfterm. Staff were lovely and very attentive to detail. Perfect location just 10-15 minutes walk from Bowness and Windermere enabling us to keep the car at the hotel.

I can't think of anything,

It was the first time we had been in the Lakes for 16 years, and chose the hotel because of the location and the fact it had a swimming pool. we were all bowled over by the friendly reception when we arrived, the standard of decoration, the cleanliness of the whole place and the quality of the food. Everyone was so nice and kind and friendly. It was a lovely break and we hope to return.

Beautiful hidden gem of a hotel. Location is amazing for the views, overlooking lake Windermere and gazing out surrounded by the mountains. Service is excellent, rooms are luxurious. Breakfast is unbelievable, evening meal was lovely as well, have to book in advance. Pool was included and sauna.

Nothing really, the only potential downside is the steep hill up to the hotel, that could be difficult for some people on foot.

Staff were friendly and helpful, Hotel was clean and tidy and provided some great views. Food in the restaurant was excellent. The ambience was relaxed and welcoming.

Booking breakfast and the pool wasn't great, we would have preferred going down to breakfast when we were ready, not at a specific time. I understand the booking of the pool, however, it was quite cold and we only really ended up using the sauna.

Location was great, even if the hotel is at the top of a steep hill! Staff were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble, room was spacious and incredibly comfy with spectacular views.
