The stairs up to the room are very steep , shower didn’t drain very well , only one towel but the owner quickly rectified it . Could do with a full length mirror and a light near the dressing table

This property is not staffed. When I arrived I had no idea how to gain access or what to do. I subsequently learned that the administration of the property had emailed on the day after I had left for Sheffield. As I only have a 'talk & text' 'phone, I had no knowledge of this until I returned home. Fortunately I'd made a note of the 'phone number and was able to call. The first person I called wasn't on-shift for calls that day so I had to call another number. But I did get the information about what to do eventually. The room was an attic room which was uncomfortably hot, but in fairness that was due to weather, so there is not much the property could do about that. The stairs up are very steep, so you need to be fit and have no disability to cope with this place. There was loud Asian music blaring out from one of the back yards below at times - ok if you're in the mood for that, but not so good if you feel the need to have peace and quiet.

Pleasant view across the rooftops. Bed quite comfortable. Unfortunately the bedding was 'nylony' which is very sticky in hot weather. Biscuits in the room nice. Cleanliness was good. Communal kitchen is well equipped.

The cost for a weekends stay was higher than a months rent at a lot of houses and flats along the same street. Really poor value for money.

Unfortunately there was a issue with the heating.. very cold.. iam in recovery from stage 4 cancer my immune is low and feel the cold.. saying that I work in the building Trade over 40 years .. and know the issues that can arise in lettings /hotels..regards.. Shaun..

Spotless clean high standard..

I was advised that details of how to enter the property would be sent 12 hours before arrival but this did not happen. Eventually told to send two photograph proofs of identity and entry details would be sent one hour before the room became available at 3pm. Despite advising we were two 83 year olds we were allocated a room at the top of two flights of narrow steep stairs which frankly were dangerous and unsafe. On the walls were battens which I assume should have had bannister rails but there were none. There was no fire safety information and we were worried if there was a fire we could have been trapped with no way of escaping.

No tea making facilities in the room these were down two flights of stairs. Overall the property was clean and fresh but we had other serious concerns.

The stairs are very steep and there is no handrail. There is a wooden plinth on the wall to attach a handrail to so there’s really no excuse for not having one. Coming down these without a suitcase was a little precarious, let alone with one.

The location was great for us. The room as clean, comfortable and large.

The staircase to reach the room on the first floor was very steep with very narrow stairs! To our horror on arrival it looked like the previous resident had just left the room. The pillow had clearly been slept on as had the duvet. We removed the duvet cover and gave the pillowcases a sponge over. The toilet had also obviously been used as the sanitary tape around the toilet was broken and lying on the floor and there was a used towel on the bed. For the price we paid for this accommodation I would have expected better.

Easy access to the property and quite centrally located although the area did seem to have a lot of homeless people who seemed to gather on Mount Pleasant Gardens opposite the residence. The room was comfortable and generally well furnished with a roomy bathroom.

Very pricey for what was on offer (basically double room with ensuite shower room). Didnt receive the entry instructions until afternoon of arrival (needed to rerequest) and deposit requested even though full payment had already been made.

Chosen for location close to event at Brammall Lane which was ideal. Clean and safe Comfortable bed.

We were told we were being given the best room they had, which was Room 1 on the ground floor, so given a code for Lock Box Room 1. This didn't open the box so we tried Room 2 and it opened that box. The room was on the first floor which was not really a problem. In the morning the water was cold, I messaged the owner but didn't receive the reply in time to have a shower before checking out at 10am. On inspection in the kitchen the boiler was actually switched off so we presume no one would have had hot water whilst staying there. It also took a while for the deposit to be returned to us. There was no offer of a reduction in the rate for the room for having no hot water.

Landlord demanded £100 deposit be sent to private bank account and also asked for 2 forms of ID for all guests on morning of stay. just thought it was overkill for 2 couples staying over 1 night

the property was advertised as a hotel, it was in fact a house that had been converted into a “hotel”. There is no reception or staff to meet you when you arrive, everything is dealt through WhatsApp. When I paid the deposit, I had to do it via bank transfer and had to chase a week later to get it back, again via bank transfer. The bathroom was shared between the other rooms which didn’t feel safe. at first I was out in the ground floor room, which was a living room converted to a “hotel room” which had a bay window directly onto a busy Main Street. I didn’t feel safe in this property at all and for what you got, it was VERY expensive. would definitely not recommend
