Good Decor

Beautiful location and grounds. Friendly helpful staff. Hotel tired and in need of refurbishment. Poor selection of food for evening meal and not particularly well cooked.

Sounds a bit petty but quality of toilet rolls was dreadful. Talk about cheap and nasty. Couldn’t get over the quality of serviettes either. When everything else was so good, we were surprised at lack of quality of something like that. 🤔

Lovely location. Plenty to do if you want to be busy or just relax. Lovely walks through the woods. The staff were all excellent. The food was yummy. Very comfortable room, nice and clean too.

Amazing how well they coped with SO many people after all the months they must have been closed. Lovely staff, great room, and the grounds are a delight.

We had booked 2 rooms, it would have helped if they were together.

Most of the reivews were quite negative, so we were concerned, but the rooms were clean and well equipped.

We were slightly later than planned arriving due to traffic. Called the restaurant and asked to delay our table by 20 minutes or so, were told that over 15 minutes not possible. Later told by reception that it is! Not ideal with a 1 year old who needed dinner.

Everything else was great, facilities and breakfast very nice. Waiting staff brilliant with the baby!

Quite a few of the facilities are looking run down or are broken, especially in the leisure area. The balls in football golf were flat and extremely worn. 2 out of the 3 showers in the swimming pool were broken and quite a few of the lockers were broken too. It's a venue as well so there was lots of noise late in the evening from shouty drunk people.

The location is stunning. The staff were friendly and it's a nice place to relax.

2.30am wake up from yobs in the corridor following Englands win over Germany, behaviour should be monitored if they are serving drinks to that hour.

Room 2070 was ok but not a very nice outlook bed very comfortable and well appointed, good breakfast with excellent dinner.

Signage around site not so good and clearly many soft furnishings coming to end of life, however major refurb about to start now that Warners have taken over the site and i am sure will be amazing once completed. Huge opportunity to create an amazing holiday venue given the extensive grounds with much wildlife everywhere!

Rooms very modern and in good order, breakfast quality and staff both superb and very good value for money, extensive grounds great to wander around - much potential for this to be enhanced!

Receptacle on table for ‘ rubbish’ eg butter/ jam wrappings Furnishings in dining room and some other areas rather scruffy and decor tired. Twin bedroom very short of space for two people.

The food not four star quality, more like 3 star! The staff in the restaurant gave no personal service and we had to wait an hour between our starter and main course. The breakfast was edible but presentation was very basic!

The location was perfect, the grounds were beautiful and the staff at reception were very helpful and accommodating.
