The poor reception on arrival. Told to go to one barn in the pooring rain to find someone else booked in there. Host seemed a little confused as to where we were staying. Not enough utensils and cooking equipment for a self catering stay. No bbq tools. A bigger table to eat at and cook outside would have been useful...perhaps a sun umbrella too. Space and provision for tv in bedroom but no tv. Not enough towels.

Recently and tastefully modernised cottages around the open courtyard. . Has every facility we generally look out for plus gamesroom/library, laundrette etc. Lovely cat. Scenic cotswold way walk nearby. Helpful management.

Both properties were absolutely stunning. There was everything we needed in each house. The area was beautiful, and recommendations for food were perfect. We had a fabulous time for a family birthday, it was great everyone could be together.

Location is tricky and difficult to find at night, no signage and have to navigate some tight lanes if you have a big vehicle

Loved it all, the place was clean, tidy, warm cosey and everything was there that I needed. Everything about this place down to the laminated information sheet is well thought out. The grounds are stunning, the views are amazing. The roads to get down are a little tight but well worth it. Communication from Phil was spot on. If you need space, peace and quiet along with refreshing scenery this is the place. I will be back when I need a break away from the city. Oh don't feed the cat he will try and get to you at all hours, beautiful and very vocal loves to walk with you.

Rather hard to find! No instructions for induction hob and microwave - it is not self-evident how to switch off the child lock. Trivial points: no tea cosy! No shelf to put soap on in shower. Mirror in bedroom would be useful.

Very quiet rural location. High standard of furniture and fixtures. Visiting out of season we were the only guests and it was very peaceful, but I imagine it would be buzzing when all the units are occupied.

1. No clear signposting on the entrance 2. No light on the entrance. When it’s dark can be difficult to find. 3. There is a cat which was coming into the cottage. Not appropriate for someone with cat fur allergy

It had all what you need for a stay. Very spacious, clean and all the equipments and furniture of very good standard. Love it and highly recommended.

The hay barn next to the house full of old furniture etc, when we sat on the patio it was not a pretty sight,we thought it could have been screened off better. Also the construction machinery and skip full of building waste spoiling the view from the other patio. We appreciate the work is still in progress in some areas , but was a little disappointed because all the other houses had pretty little gardens and court yards , and we felt it did spoil our experience a little. I am sure when all work is completed it will look totally amazing, just our bad luck it hasn't been completed yet.

We loved the beautiful countryside location. also the peace and quiet. We liked the fact that it was only a short drive to the centre of Gloucester, where there is the historic harbour, the quays shopping centre , museums and lots of nice restaurants , Cafe's and bars. The property is absolutely stunning, all done to a high standard, very clean , and tidy. we think it will be even better when all the landscaping around the barn is complete.

No criticism just an idea to maybe supply extra hand towel to dry hands. Then everyone has large towel for body and hand towel for hair.

The cottage was finished to a high standard, very clean and well equipped. We would have found instruction manuals useful, especially for the espresso machine.

Overall, our stay at this property was disappointing. The bed was very uncomfortable, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. The lack of flyscreens meant that there were blow flies and other bugs everywhere, which may be consistent with being on a farm, but still very unpleasant. The lack of air conditioning made the place very hot, and there was no way to cool it down, I would hate to think what it would be like in Summer😱,. and yet on the other hand, the hot water runs out after one shower. Furthermore, the location was challenging to find, with very bad roads that were almost impassable in some places, making it difficult to pass other cars. While we appreciated the rural setting, the lack of basic amenities and the uncomfortable conditions made our stay less enjoyable than we had hoped. In conclusion, unless you are absolutely desperate, stay somewhere else.

No bedding or towels provided. Bought our own to put on bed at a cost of £70. Owners very sorry and brought over bottle of wine and chocolates but really should not have charged full price for a room with no bedding or towels. Didn’t seem that worried about it and just excused it as a mistake that happens.

The only comment I had was that the bed was not great. It keeps moving and making noise, not feeling comfortable at all.
