You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United Kingdomfirst thing to say is that Marie the host was fantastic, and really friendly. We had a bit of a nightmare journey getting to the place. Our flight was delayed the bus let us down so as a result we were about seven hours late getting to haven House. Contact with Marie was fabulous and she waited up for our late arrival and made us feel very welcome. The room itself was clean, tidy and spacious. As well as a kettle and coffee etc. there is a fridge if you want to keep anything cool. In the hall she even has a microwave if you want to heat/cook anything. The house is set a stone's throw from the bay and marina, Largs is a beautiful place and this has you right in the heart of the best of it. It was a great stay that made up for a bad day! We will definitely be returning to Marie's place.

The room was warm comfortable and had all the basics needed It was very clean. The owner was friendly and helpful. I thought the fridge in the room a nice touch as its self catering. The location was perfect. I parked my car when I arrived and was able to attend events, go out for meals and not move it till I left.

3rd visit. Cosy , spotlessly clean room a couple of minutes from seafront and town centre..Microwave and fridge provided !. But Supermarkets and other eating options are all nearby . The Haven is a Haven for comfort and price..!

United KingdomNo breakfast included, therefore wasn't that convenient, however knew this before booked so this is something i must consider in future when booking a guest house or b&b. Toilet and washing facilities in hallway and communal so not great for the kids but was only for one evening. Very limited tea/coffee facilities, we were able to have one cup each, limited sugar and milk available. The decor was very dated and nooks and crannies not dusted but the main things were clean enough. A fresh, new kettle would be a nice touch with some new crockery as mugs had chips on them. Chocolate on floor under a side cabinet which made us think the room hadn't been hoovered. Not a great big deal as only stayed for one night but would've bothered more if had been staying any longer.
Was excited to have a night away with my daughters and mum snd had giggles in one of the rooms before going to our separate rooms to sleep. I found the double bed in room 3 to be very comfortable and had a nice restful sleep. Bedding had lovely fabric softener smell and feel, which was really pleasant. The guest house is a hop skip and a jump from the main park area which was great as had picnic and didn't need to walk far before we found the perfect picnic spot. Not far from eating places which was handy. We were able to check in early with a friendly welcome. Our case and bags were able to be left until we were leaving for return journey so we were grateful for that. Thank you

United KingdomAlthough there were hot drink facilities in the room, there was no coffee the day I stayed. Everything else was there but I fancied a coffee at 7am. Obviously the room I stayed in had no en-suite bathroom but this is reflected in the price.
The owner was very helpful and friendly. Very pleasant approach towards guests. Very reasonable cost for the room. Good location.

We enjoyed our short but very lovely stay. The host was very friendly and helpful. The guesthouse was better than we expected very cosy and clean. It offers a shared two bathrooms with either shower or a bath option. The location was also perfect just a short walk to the city centre. Very good communication with the host prior the arrival.
