Clean and comfortable. Very well situated to visit the surrounding area. Ideal for local ferry services. Portavardie, Islay were two places we visited, Co-op well stocked. Pharmacy, fantastic Indian takeaway. Good Fish and Chips. Post office. Lots of friendly locals. Boats in the harbour. Very enjoyable couple of days

No grumbles at all

This was a room only , without breakfast but since there's an excellent café next door this was not a problem. Owner was very helpful and friendly, room and bathroom were spotless and the view over the harbour was wonderful. The two rooms at the rear didn't have a waterfront view but size wise were good. Two rooms had private bathrooms rather than ensuites but these were opposite the rooms so it really didn't matter. The steps leading to the rooms were stone steps and were fine for us although possibly not so good for people with mobility issues. Really enjoyed our two nights' stay

The bathroom was disconnected from the room itself, and although a sign says "private for Room...", anyone could use, which meant I wasn't comfortable leaving things inside.

Fantastic room with a superb view out over the harbour. Comfortable bed and an equally relaxing sofa to sit on while observing the world going by. Good bathroom facilites, and a seamless checking in process.

The rooms and beds were lovely. Clean, furnished adequately and comfortable with ensuite facilities. The location was excellent right in the centre of town next to the harbour.

It took a bit of time to figure out where it was - a better description of the building online would be handy. We also misunderstood that a "king room" didn't mean a king bed. All good, but might change the wording to avoid confusion.

Room included coffee packs and a kettle. Double beds were comfortable. Quiet area. Very clean rooms and shared spaces.

Seemed the heating was on during the day when we were out so was a bit chilly at night as Couldn't figure out how to turn the heat up. Bed was super comfy but had a slight dip in the right side so felt I was rolling out of it.

Place was lovely, decor was well chosen.

The shower is quite small, and the water pressure is weak. Only a small heater in the room, it takes some time to heat up the room.

The location makes it easy for us to catch the ferry early in the morning. Also, it's easy for parking.

I wasn't keen on the stone steps going up to the room. They were like castle steps.

The Waterfront has fantastic views of Tarbert. We thought that it might be a bit noisy, being in the front, but even on a Saturday night it was quiet.

Tricky to see the sign on a dark, rainy night. It would have been really handy to know its next to the Fish & Chip shop

Back entrance creepy when dark as I was alone. TV. didn't work. No microwave or fridge as advertised.

No breakfast, accommodation . But booked on that basis. En suite great. Location ideal for eateries and shops. Close to Portavadie ferry terminal. Good heating and heated towel rail.
