Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaDidn’t see any staff when checked in but that was ok as instructions were clear. Saw them at breakfast. Can hear people in other rooms- next door and above you which can disturb sleep if you are light sleeper. I suggest taking ear plugs
Breakfast included (fill out a form the night before with time etc) location is great right on the harbour (next to the chocolate shop). Easy parking out the front too.

The staff were very helpful and informed me in good time that we could find a key to our room in a look box at the front door should we require a later check in. This was great as it was our last day on Mull and we were keen to stay out exploring in the afternoon before heading to the guest house. Breakfast was also really good with a nice selection of food.

This was my fault for not checking details when booking, but I have never encountered this arrangement since the early 1970s, so I didn't realise it was a thing anymore. Stated shared with room 6, but there was also someone from the floor below using it as well. Particularly disconcerting as I was ill the last night of our stay and only just avoided encountering the other guest on two visits to the bathroom. A 5cm gap at the bottom of our door meant room flooded with light overnight from landing. It was also very noisy as other guests passed by on stairs right outside our door. Perhaps a better fitting and better quality door would address these issues. Room was very cramped . Overall, the price of our stay was not reflected in the size of the room or facilities.
Staff were lovely, helpful, and happy to share knowledge about the island and places to visit.. Room and communal areas were spotless, linen, and towels are excellent quality, view amazing. Breakfast preordered the night before was beautifully cooked, and the service was excellent. Teas, coffees etc were good quality. Parking readily available nearby.

United KingdomThere was a bit of noise from the street and front door on weekend evenings and it is next to the shop, so comings and goings started fairly early.
Breakfast was all freshly cooked for the time you chose the night before. The family room was large, ground floor, newly decorated and everything was spotless. Our (older) children could explore the street's shops unsupervised as there were no big roads to cross so could enjoy shopping for their friends. We were able to park free opposite the guest house. Plenty choices hor eating out and making packed lunches.
