The room was not big enough to accommodate it but another chair would have been useful rather than just having to sit on the bed.

Although the rooms were lovely my husband kept knocking his head on the ceiling as it was quite low. However, I do understand with the natural shape of the lodge there is not much the owners can do about it.

While our stay at Halwell Lodge was largely enjoyable, there were a few drawbacks. Our room was on the ground floor, and visibility from the conservatory meant we sometimes felt a lack of privacy. On one occasion, another guest was in the garden right outside our window, which was a bit uncomfortable. However, we did enjoy the well-maintained garden view, which was a nice compromise. Additionally, the bathroom could benefit from some refurbishment to enhance the overall experience.

What did I like about Halwell Lodge? There are many wonderful aspects to highlight. The garden and the dining area, adorned with vintage furniture, create a charming and relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast was undoubtedly the highlight of our stay. Embracing a sustainability approach, everything was freshly cooked on the day, with orders placed the day before. I particularly enjoyed the full Cornish breakfast. We were treated to fresh coffee, an assortment of fresh fruits, warm croissants, and what I believe was homemade bread. The location is also very convenient, being just a 10-minute bus ride or a 7-minute train journey to central St Ives. Overall, Halwell Lodge offers a delightful and memorable experience.

Where to begin! First of all set in a lovely part of the world! It has great onsite parking! Steve and Tressa were wonderful! Welcoming, accommodating and just amazing! Room was spacious with a lovely soft bed and pillows! Free Wifi and l was able to make lots of Tea's :) I was also free to roam into the conservatory and garden - again lovely view! I really liked that breakfast was made to order from their menu and was 10/10!!
