Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomVery long walk from reception to room. Nobody offered to help. Might be an issue for those with mobility issues
Tea and coffee facilities in room. Comfortable superking bed. We went half board and meal was very good with good choice. Breakfast was buffet and well stocked. Coffee was good although from an 'urn' with a tap. Parking good for our motorcycles with tarmac. Staff friendly and helpful.

United KingdomFew numbered points below, but they were a very minor irritant: 1. Whilst the bathroom was very well equipped with toiletries & towels and was spotless, the sink and bath taps were antiquated, and the cold water tap was really hard to turn to fully close it (maybe new waher on the old tap). \also the hot water was very hot (above 55 deg C) and could easily scald a guest \w I would suggest warning signs about the temperature similar to usimng the rubber bath mat. 2. The duvet was very heavy, hot and cumbersome, and there was no top sheet beneath it so that if a guest found the duvet too heavy or hot they would at least a sheet for cover. Finished up removing the duvet from its cover for my 2nd night and slept much better. 3. Very minor point: the foot pedal on the small bathroom waste bin did not work, and I had to lift the lid by hand to deposit waste. 4. Again a minor point, and not sure why it happened. I was leaving early on the day of departure, and since I had prepaid, I asked if I could get my receipt the night before. The receptionist on duty said it was no problem, but it turned out it was. He finished up cancelling my 2nd night's booked room, and when I pointed this out, the receptionist booked me in for the 2nd night at the same rate using the credit card repayment to pay for the incorrect cancelling of the room. Only problem waas he did not add a breakfast in the 2nd night, so the restaurant staff could find no breakfast paid for under my room number. I explained what had happened and let me have a breakfast anyway. So it all ended up OK, but it really should not have happened in the 1st place.
Facilities, Location excellent. Staff superb. Restaurant menu, cooking, presentation and staff were excellent. Nice that the windows could be opened to allow for fresh air at night. Nice that there were 2 easy chairs and a small table to complement the room. Was really appreciated

United KingdomThe room didn't have a door from the sink area in the bathroom to the rest of the bedroom, therefore when I was up early I couldn't brush teeth etc until my sister was awake too. There was no towel rail or hook for a hand towel in there. The bed was a great size but quite hard. There wasn't much lighting and one of the side lights kept flickering but we got by.
The whole hotel was exceptionally clean and modern with a lovely bar restaurant area

United KingdomRoom looked tired. Shower not very good. Cover on one of the sockets on the wall beside the bed missing. Breakfast not as expected, Had to wait on the food being replaced at the serving points. Had to ask for plates for the food as there were no plates available.

United KingdomRoom was very dusty in some places and certain bits could do with a touch up paint wise. Mixture of old tatty furniture that needs updated especially as they have been decorated with new wallpaper(although not done very well as edges etc it showed).Bathroom very strange and shower curtain was gross.Needs updated to glass panel at very least. Menu wasn't great this time in our stay.Very poor choice on it.Mostly meat dishes and the chicken pasta was awful.Chicken was like chewing a rubber sole of a shoe.Had to leave it amd could only eat garlic bread.Red wine beef stew was nicer and really enjoyed the pudding both nights had the cheesecake which was excellent. Paid for cocktails which are expensive at the best of times but this was a treat so we decided to go for it.... however bar staff spilled half on the way to our table.Would have thought I would have been offered another and the table cleaned but it wasn't. Staff in restaurant seem more interested in gossiping about other staff or whoever had been in trouble the night before espcially the manager of restaurant.For the amount of staff they have service is slow in the restaurant.Older lady waitress was lovely to us and so helpful. Also at check out I was told I had outstanding bill to pay for drinks which I said I had already paid for.The lady at desk asked for proof.I showed bank but she asked for receipt so had to go through handbag at desk infront of other customers to provide proof of this.I showed both and was told sorry that the restaurant staff hadn't informed them.She took transaction numbers and cleared my bill on account and then I was apologised to.It was embarrassing especially through no fault of my own.
The staff are very helpful at reception.I hadnt pressed a room for 2 and phoned to confirm the mix up and a staff member rectifyed this immediately for me.I thought the deal for 2 nights with dinner was excellent value. The rooms have been updated with new wallpaper however the furniture hasn't.Its very mixed and matched.They used to have fridges in rooms also which was great but they took these away.Room was cold as well as radiator and whistled if you tried to turn on so it was not working but we used extra duvet from the another bed luckily. One bed was newer so slept in it but the other was sunken in middle and had springs sticking out.So couldn't sleep in it. Had dinner both nights at hotel.First night was excellent.Enjoyed a beef stew however second night tried cujun chicken pasta which was awful.It was chewy chicken like an old sole of a shoe.I couldn't eat anything but the garlic bread.We also had cocktails which were lovely however quite pricey and one was half spilled by waitress. Alot of staff in the restaurant but can be slow at times especially with head manager gossiping instead of serving.Older lady who was waitresses was fantastic and so helpful. Breakfast is help yourself buffet.Plenty to eat and lots coming out.Great value and very impressed. Enjoyed our stay just a few bits that could do with being sorted but we always love to come for a stay and again most of the staff are lovely I'm the building.

Good value for money. Dog friendly rooms and facilities, which was great for us, with direct access to large green space for dog walking. All staff very friendly. Lovely reception/sitting areas of the hotel. Comfy bed.
