Superb stay and would love to stay again in the Summertime

there were no plug sockets near the mirrors, so had to borrow an extension lead to use the hairdryer in front of the mirror

the Grosvenor was an absolute delight, in the heart of Stockbridge. Breakfast was exceptional and the garden room in which we stayed was superb. Would definitely stay here again. The garden and outside barbecue and seating areas looked so welcoming and the indoor bar had a very convivial atmosphere.

Lovely property in a central location in Stockbridge. Modernised to a high standard with plenty of character. Great staff.

The hotel had a couple of large groups utilising the hotel, which stretched the staff and slightly compromised the service level.

A superb hotel. The ambience is excellent throughout. The staff were wonderful, especially Ricardo, who rescued what could have been a poor dining experience. The food was superb at dinner and breakfast.

Restaurant a little dated. Tables all wobbly. Some extras which you would expect at this level and cost of hotel missing, i.e. face cloths in bathroom. Expainitary brochure in bedroom. No phone to link with reception. Restaurant staff seemed a little uncordinated.

Nicely appointed and very clean room. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great position for our needs and easy parking.

The staff prior to booking were not super friendly online, and at reception a bit frazzled forgetting to take us through to treatments etc. The food in the restaurant was not super special but the staff there were excellent! Overall the stay is pricey but it’s a treat! Probably not affordable for us for more than one night.

Though pricey, this is a very special and unique hotel to stay in. We had the hayloft suite which was exceptional. Their on site services (massage) was excellent (done by an external service provider). The interior decor overall is stunning and so English.

The size of the room was too small for a family with a dog. Garden family rooms would be perfect but when we booked I could only see one option or the other.

The location and setting of the hotel and gardens, the restaurant food and staff.

Some of the decoration and furnishing in the older part of the building needed repair/ refurbishment. A shame and unexpected in such a beautiful hotel.

The bedroom was beautifully decorated and an excellent size made for a very comfortable stay. The underfloor heating in the bathroom was particularly welcome.

Nothing really not to like, just breakfast staff let it down.

Location excellent - staff at reception and evening staff very good. Breakfast staff let it down, waited 25 minutes for tea/coffee to be ordered, than had to wait for food order to be taken. Shortage of staff maybe? House keeping Excellent. The Breakfast was good when arrived. Would stay again to explore the area.

There seemed to be a lack of communication between Booking.com and the hotel with regard to my additional request to book a table for dinner on our second night. Luckily the restaurant was not crowded, so they were able to accommodate us, but if the restaurant had been full, then we might not have been so luckty. I had assumed that any additional requests made when booking would automatically be passed to the hotel, but in this case they were not! Breakfast on the first morning was a bit of a nightmare because there were a lot of people wanting breakfast, including the wedding party, and not enough staff serving. Also most of the items on the breakfast buffet table had run out - juices, cereal bowls, milk, etc,etc and were not refreshed/refilled until we asked for them to be. We also had to wait more than 30 minutes, and had to ask several times, for some toast! Only serving breakfast until 9:45 on a Sunday seems very early for a weekend, which was why there were so many people wanting breakfast at the same time.

Our room was seperate from the main hotel, and with a wedding party going on, we were pleased that we were not in the main hotel.

The hotel was very busy and service at breakfast was understandably slow. Otherwise, despite it being a wedding party and thus little time spent at the hotel, it was a very enjoyable stay. I'm not a particular fan of nouvelle cuisine which seems to emphasise presentation over substance but dinner was delicious.
