Pub opposite was quite noisy. It didn’t really bother us but could bother some people.

We liked the property very much. When booking we believed we had booked an en-suite room. One we had paid our non-refundable cost. Booking.com asked if we wanted to pay to upgrade to a room with a toilet. Reluctantly we did. When I discussed this with the owners they were dismayed as all their rooms are en-suite. They said they would discuss this issue with Booking.com. Thank you.

Convenient for centre of Chester. Friendly welcome. Good parking advice. Comfortable bed. Good facilities.

B&B was very warm and the rooms had no air-conditioning. The finishes / upkeep of the rooms are a little dated and well-worn. Bathroom finishes could do with some TLC. Towels and bedding cushions had marks/stains on them.

Great B&B centrally located in Chester. Owners are very friendly and accommodating. Room was clean and well serviced. Although no on-site parking, very cheap 24hr car park a 2min walk away from the B&B.

No brekky, but this isnt a negative, Im just lazy in the morning. Plenty of places on bridge street to eat, 1 minute away.

Easy checkin. if you want to drop bags off earlier, and go for a wander , this can be done.. Alison & Dave lovely hosts. Property is central to everthing,Just off bridge street. Was upgraded to a superkingsize room. Complementary fresh milk and water supplied. Reasonable prices considering location. We will be back here no problem. You wont be dissapointed. . We enjoyed our stay, and the peace and quiet. Just beware of dave makeing Lentil soup, as the smell wafts upstairs🤣🤣🤣. Sorry dave, but i just needed a bowl full... be back soon.

The fridge was quite noisy, which was more noticeable at night as everything else was quiet. However, this was 'white noise' so it didn't keep us awake.

We were able to drop off our luggage before check in time and leave them for a few hours after check out which was so helpful as we could explore Chester without our luggage on a hot day. Other hotels didn't offer this facility, so I didn't book with them. There was a socket near the mirror, so I could use my hair styling tools and see what I was doing - again rare in the big hotel chains. The room was smallish, but big enough for what we needed. Despite being in the middle of the city, very little noise from outside and what there was was muffled. Very comfortable bed and two fat pillows each. Very clean. Very good value for money. Good wifi. Refreshments included fresh milk and cold water in the fridge. Despite the heat wave the room wasn't too hot and a fan was provided. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Excellent location, right in the city centre close to the cathedral and shops. The hosts were friendly and very helpful and the room was very clean and comfortable. There was a fridge, with fresh milk supplied, in the room, which was very useful. I definitely plan to stay again.

The hosts were lovely. Really good location, great pub next door and a stones throw from all the restaurants, pubs and bars. Fan and mini fridge in the room and it was really quiet at night as the windows are triple glazed.

There was no negatives during our stay.

From the time we walked in we were made welcome. Dave and Alison were the perfect hosts sharing their extensive knowledge of Chester. Our room was perfect. It was comfortable, spotlessly clean and had everything you needed for our two night stay. The location was a short walk to all the sights of this wonderfull city. There was Plenty of restaurant and pubs to choose from very close by. A special thank you to Alison who spent so much time helping us when our hire car failed to start. We would highly recommend Grosvenor Place.

Everything was fabulous! Dave and Alison were the perfect hosts! The accommodation was lovely, location is excellent and they are superb hosts! Really knowledgeable about the area and happy to help with directions! Will probably find an excuse to go back to Chester just to stay with them again!

Due to beautiful old character house there are steep stairs, not always easy to get heavy luggage up to room

Perfect location in the heart of the city. Alison and Dave are great hosts and will help with any questions you have. Milk and water in the fridge, which is a lovely touch so you can have tea or coffee at your pleasure

I'm being picky here. It was just a little warm initially in the top room that I was in. But there was a little fan in there at least for me to use to keep me cooled down.

Staff were lovely, felt very accomodated for and the room was so clean and nice!
