We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

AustraliaThe bed was very uncomfortable. Could feel the springs every turn. There was no shower mat and the bathroom light was extremely low. I had to use my flash light. The bedroom window wouldn’t close. The bathroom door didn’t shut. The bedroom door didn’t lock from the inside. You could hear everything going on outside the door. I was getting changed in the morning and getting ready to go when someone came into my room (I’m assuming to clean?) at 10am when check out was 11am. There was no knock before entering.

United KingdomThe staff was not good, they ask 1 pound deposit invoice which i paid them, but they were not letting my guests in. They were saying 1£ was approved but they couldn't hold 25£ for deposit. That was not my problem, as it was not from my side. I sent them the screenshots from bank statement. They again send me 25£ invoice to pay, before getting the pins to enter. Anyway I'm not suggesting someone as it was very disrespectful and disappointing for me to wait my guests outside the property for 1 hour.

Nothing Booked the place and didn't stay as they sent me a dodgy link on whatsapp after booking. Said I need to use the link to pay a deposit and also need to sign and send an agreement n copy of i.d. I was completely unaware of this when booking and this should've been mentioned before any payment was made. I'd just landed from a very long flight and just wanted a place to stay without jumping through a load of hoops. When i explained and asked for a refund they were totally unsympathetic and refused.

AustraliaThe fact that our room had a broken tv cable could get no Tv. Ask the cleaner to report it. We had to give them credit card details and they took a 1 pond so if you left any damaged you would be charge 25 pound this was so you could get the code numbers for front door. Even though we reported the broken cable and the cleaner sent through a photo of broken cable before we even settled in the room. They still had the nerve to take 25 pounds out of my credit card. This business is a rip off not to forget the mattress we slept on Was so old you could feel the springs. Don’t go near this Business. There were so many confused guest at the front trying to get in. After you went though all the crap with signing forms through emails after paying through Booking.com. You still get another email with the pound request. Which a lot of guests may not have realised they had received upon arrival at the place. Previous guest had to explain to arriving guests. Really bad. More a back packers hostel approach. So if you want to be close to Heathrow pay the extra at a decent hotel so you can get a goodnights sleep before flying🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

CanadaChecking in was a challenge. It took an hour to receive door codes from Robin Door that included long emails and signatures for a 1 pound security deposit transaction fee. Only one towel in the room, mattress and pillows less than comfortable. We were unable to store our luggage for the day which necessitated a 5 hour wait at the airport before we could check in Poor planning on our part - but that simple convenience would have been very helpful. No response to our email request for information re taxi.
