I had requested a room with a shower which was not granted I absolutely hate showers with a vengeance. It took me an age to work out how to use it. It was just awful being under it Also, the tv display threw a lot of light into the room all night which kept me awake all night. I couldn’t switch it off and I didn’t sleep all night. Also, I did not know how to connect it to my phone to enable me to watch tv

I loved professionalism and friendliness of all staff , the decor and comfort of the public areas Flower display was beautiful

The heavy knob on the shower fell off and just missed my foot! Would have broken a bone.

Lovely and accommodating staff. Allowed us to have something to eat a bit after the kitchen cut-off time. Special mention for Paul the concierge who was particularly fantastic.

The view from our room window was a brick wall. I was disappointed the restaurant wasn’t open the night we stayed, as the break was to celebrate my partner’s birthday. However the staff left a birthday card on the bed for him and he was given a little box of The Grand chocolates at breakfast which was a lovely touch.

I love how steeped in history and what a great location it is. The bed was very comfy and we were told at reception we had a free upgrade. The staff were lovely and breakfast was amazing.

The only complaint is the dog owners in the hotel allowing their dogs on the furniture, especially in the eating areas.

The Grand is a fabulous hotel. The position is excellent. The staff are professional and friendly. The atmosphere in the hotel is excellent. There is a very good selection of food and drinks. I look forward to returning to The Grand.

Omelette station personnel was quite inexperienced reflected in my wholly undercooked dish sadly The slow plumbing in the bath and sink were annoying, we had to wait for the water to slow steep down the drain. This needs addressing

Location was convenient Beautifully decorated and preserved ALL the staff were exceptionally lovely, helpful and went out of their way to ensure our needs were met and we were comfortable top draw hospitality and the signature chocolates gifted to me for my birthday were divine, I would love to purchase some in fact. I have stayed in many UK Hotels but never have I experienced such consistently professional service from check in to check out. Great food, great extras Well done

It is a little older in the rooms, but some might think it is part of the charm :)

We loved our stay - a super quiet room (on the top floor), a lovely old building, friendly staff, and a fabulous breakfast (beautiful fresh fruit amongst many other treats).

We had a drink in the bar and were given popcorn, which we assumed was complimentary but we were charged £5 for that or for service, certanly more than the wine list indicated.

Lovely room. The view wasn't great but we hadn't paid for a sea view.

Felt the bathroom was a little dated. Everything worked, but didn't feel as upmarket as one would expect perhaps.

All staff excellent. Beds comfy. Room was a good size. We didn't have a sea view. Shout out to the Concierge on the main door. Very helpful. Restaurant staff great too. Fish pie in the restaurant is absolutely delicious. Great location for concerts at The Brighton Centre. Literally next door. If it's raining it's literally 30 seconds and you are in the concert! Bar/Lounge at hotel also good for guests only for after concert drinks. Had coffee next morning with a friend who lives in Brighton. Lovely surroundings.
