While I appreciate the Boss concert pushes prices up, I felt it was a bit steep. Some parts of the building and car park are tired looking and in need of some maintenance. The toilet in our room struggled to flush loo roll !

Room size & breakfast first class. All the staff we encountered were great. Pool & spa facilities helped to make the stay.

Ne bother really but the bairn loved filling the ice bucket up n it was empty. I work away and when I’m home your hotels what she asks for I see her once a month now so sort the ice machine out or il go elsewhere.. make it special or I’m gonna nash

My wife and I are both over 80 years old and having a room on the third floor at the far end of the hotel was a bit of a strain occasionally.

The room was good and the bathroom excellent. The staff were extremely good and very helpful. My wife felt unwell on the penultimate day and we left a day early. The final night's charge was refunded which was unexpected but gratefully received.

Our room was booked quite late and so I can understand why the room was best available- outside our window was a very noisy extractor fan -I did enquire about alternative room and was right away offered another room - lovely with a sea view but smaller so we stayed in our original one - the fan went off at 9pm so it wasn’t actually an issue in the end - but again staff were super helpful throughout

Location is great, staff are super, nothing is too much trouble the hotel is dated but that’s a good thing… our room was huge, with 2 comfortable double beds- bathroom had a shower and a bath. Breakfast was lovely , plentiful and was served until later than advertised Pool & gym included in the price - amazing! And great facilities within … even had a swimwear drier .. what a treat!!

We planned to use the swimming pool but didn’t as the pool was occupied with a swimming group. Not really a problem.

Room, breakfast and location were all excellent. We were happy with the original room, but upgraded to one with a view of the sea, which exceeded our expectations. The staff were wonderful and we were very happy with our stay in Sunderland.

The lifts were a little awkward for my dad. But should have asked for a room on a lower floor.

Location really good and view from the room were great. Staff were very helpful and food at the restaurant was good. Easy parking a bonus.

The lounge bar area whilst good was less attractive, lighting could benefit from a rethink as it was cold looking and functional providing little atmosphere. We tend not to use that area.

I have noticed that the dog friendly rooms could do with an updating. The door to our room needed repainting and the room was a bit shabby. We would love a room with a view but always seem to get the same location in the hotel because we are taking our dog! People cause more damage than dogs!

Was a bit on the warm side for me as heating on and couldn't control temp. To be fair I didn't say anything I just opened the windows which helped a little.
