Genial host. Beautifully cooked breakfast, comfy bed & easy to use shower. Large TV lounge for exclusive use of the 2 or 4 guests in the party. Plenty of local guides to browse as well.

Quite certainly the best B&B we've ever stayed in! Everything was PERFECT : John and David were wonderful hosts from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. The house is beautiful and so clean, the decoration and equipment are wonderful and the full Scottish breakfast was excellent! Wish we could have stayed longer!! Even a lovely cake on arrival - they really look after their guests!

The accommodation was spotless and in a very convenient location. Distilleries and restaurants all in walking distance. The host was very friendly and provided info about the area. Breakfast was amazing and the accommodation was fully equipped. We really enjoyed our stay!

No complaints whatsoever, fabulous stay.

Everything was above expectations, Breakfast was superb, rooms were spotless and comfortable and the location was within five minutes of everything we required. We enjoyed the freedom to come and go as we pleased with no pressure from the hosts and basically treat the place as our own during our stay. Provisions supplied were the best I have ever seen in a guest house and we were free to eat and drink anything we wanted from these provisions.

Gowanlea is a home from home, the property is beautiful, the rooms are so comfortable… the extras provided are exceptional… teas, coffees, snacks in the lounge and in the bedrooms… we even had cake left for us one day (which was delicious). The hosts go above and beyond, nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast was lovely, good selection (also had extras as well as what was ordered) parking at rear of property is an added bonus. Good location.

John was exceptionally attentive and helpful when I had a bronchitis and was considering seeking medical care. That was before I ever reached his property. My daughter and I were offered two rooms, both spacious, and well appointed there were a variety of snacks, yogurts, and drinks available in each room. The sitting room is lovely and filled with good reads.

The only thing, I could possibly make comment on with this section, is that the bedroom door closer had a little quirk to.

Gowanlea Heights is extremely well positioned in a quiet area just outside the the town centre of Campbeltown making it peaceful and very convenient for all amenities. John and David (proprietors) made us feel extremely welcome from the outset. We were met with a friendly smile and warming welcome. John showed us around the property which was clean, well furnished and comfortable. A nice touch was the availability of drinks and snacks in the living room which you could help yourself to. Of particular use was the provided web information, recommending local restaurants and places of interest. Breakfast was absolutely superb, a large selection of food available to cater for all tastes. Although we chose to eat out in the evening, there was also the option of purchasing and eating takeaway food with the guest house, with crockery and cutlery provided. Parking is provided at the rear of the property.

This is the most wonderful Bed & Breakfast. I can not recommend it enough, the hosts are exceptional and the bedrooms and living room are a delight. I have never felt so at home and welcome as I did at Gowanlea.

This was the most valuable and luxurious staying I've ever experienced. Especially I really loved the breakfast. I don't have enough vocabularies to explain how it was so delicious. Also many notes made us happier because foreign tourists (like us) don't much know about etiquettes in the UK.

Excellent accommodation and perfect hosts. Very friendly with the most generous supply of cakes, biscuits, crisps and more all included 😀 Amazing breakfast which included real honey from their beehive in their back garden. Do not hesitate to stay here you will not be disappointed !!
