It’s like much of Cheltenham since I first visited 30 yrs - ago. It’s tired & dated The room could do with a lick of paint, the bed is very low down ?? Can be a bit stuffy Shared bathroom sadly fellow guests quite messy & didn’t tidy up after themselves eg who wants to go in for a shower find it full of hairs & a razor The price is insane this is a £70-80 per night room but EVERYWHERE overcharges festival week !!!! Particularly since Covid

Very noisy as we were in the room right by the front door so you heard everyone arriving and leaving the property.

Staff were very friendly and room was very clean. Did not know how to turn radiator on in the night so was a little cold but all in all a good stay and very central in Cheltenham.

The room provided was at a building within walking distance of the reception which was unexpected. The room was dilapidated and so made it hard to tell if poor carpet quality or just not properly vacuumed.

We booked for gloucester place only to receive a text message saying we were staying at gloucester road, we had already got close to the location so I called them and they asked us to go to the central hotel near by, they told me they were giving us a twin room now instead but with free late check in, however when we got there we were now told they had found us a double in their hotel and that it was normal £35 more but a lot nicer than Gloucester Place. I checked when I got into the room, it was £20 more, room was ok, glad we didn't got to the other place Facilities are worn and aging, the carpets being the worst. This was central hotel and not gloucester place.

The location was great, although we did not stay at this one as they messed up our reservation. Value for money was ok when you think for we stayed we got it for £20 cheaper than it was listed. Staff were helpful and friendly, apologised for their mistake and were quick to give us positive option. Having seen a lot of negative reviews, if they can get it right to start with the hotel has potential

Room was next to the shared bathroom. In the middle of the night two people came in drunk and kept making trips to the bathroom. The door on my room had a large gap so every time the motion activated light came on my room lit up. Also the bathroom door slams very loudly you should look into fixing that.

The fact that you can hear everything outside because of the style of windows. The cutlery in my room wasn't clean. Parts of the walls in my room need to be looked at.

My room wall and shared wash room was same when ever someone flush in wash room in night there is loud noice of flush you can hear in the room.

It was filtered in the rooms with private bath category by Booking.com. Not the hotel’s fault. They had clearly mentioned shared in the profile. Bathroom was shared.

Bed was noisy. Each move on the bed was squeaky nor so comfortable. Thank God it was only for 1 night.
