The room was an attic room and the sloping ceiling wasn't comfortable, either in the room, but especially in the bathroom, the latter of which was very tight.

The location was lovely and peaceful, right along the River Ness.

The creaky floorboards in the rooms. We were on the ground floor and if anyone moved upstairs it was like the ceiling was coming down.

The location was great, close to town and on a quiet road over looking the river. The restaurant had a lovely selection of food, it was well prepared and tasted delicious.

The bathroom was inconvenient. It was the attic room. I couldn’t stand to take a bath because you hit your head against the ceiling. I had to take a bath kneeling on the bathtub. Dangerous, uncomfortable and ridiculous.

The room was good although the door lock was temperamental and needed attention. Breakfast was excellent and the the location was ideal; overlooking the river and a short walk into town.

The room was very tired and dated. The breakfast was disappointing and undercooked. It was made to order. However, a buffet would have been better for the quality

The hotel stated that there was no lift so we knew we had to use stairs but they were quite demanding for an elderly person. The restaurant was expensive but good; the alternative piano bar could have offered a wider choice of dishes.

Good Central location and large car park, both easy to access. Nicely cooked breakfast with a good choice. The room had a large warm bathroom.

The meal was not good value at £142 for two, too much focus on arty presentation and not enough on taste and substance. Paying £34 for a ribeye steak that was half fat (know fat is part of the flavour) is not good value. The black forests gateaux was tasteless. I should have complained but didn't, my fault. Starters were nice.

The plumbing was very noisy and rattled when showers or toilets flushed in other rooms. but after 11:00 pm to breakfast time all was quiet

The room above ours, we could hear all the noise, sounded like a heard of elephants at all hours.

Staff would be the reason to return, very helpful. Bed was comfortable, bathroom very dated, shower took a good while for hot water to come through. Breakfast was decent, although order was a little wrong, but can’t fault the cooking or presentation

Dinning was exceptional bar was very good service was excellent.

Good location nice bar and dining area. Bedrooms very clean with good amenities maybe in need of a more modern upgrade but very comfortable.

Our room was very dark with only table lamps and no overhead light. There was one drawer and limited hanging space.

Staff were friendly & efficient. The room was a decent size with a comfy bed and great shower. The bar was welcoming with a good selection.

Heating issues

Very good fresh breakfast and choice. Good location and parking. Unfortunately our room had no heating, waking us at 5am with clicking noises, but not functioning. We were given a small plug in heater the previous day upon saying that the heating is not working, but that barely changed the temperature. The beds were very narrow (twin room). But the breakfast made up for it.
