Excellent value for money, very clean and specious glamping pod, very warm thanks to the underfloor heating. All staff were very friendly and facilities were excellent. I Would highly recommend this site to all those looking for a budget friendly place to stay, with beautiful surroundings. Will be happy to return next year.

Hut was a long way from toilet facilities. No water or sink in the hut. Knew I had to take all bedding, crockery and cutlery but no point in having a hob at all. Cooking would be very difficult. In such a confined space why have a dozen cushions.. we couldnt sit down.

Shepherds hut was quite comfortable . Toilet block very clean.

We had a horrible stay here. When I booked on the booking.com app I was careful to check the available rooms. I was a bit dubious as the rooms offered were: Family room with balcony, Family Studio, and Holiday Home. The Family room with balcony (photographs of a gypsy type caravan or a yurt) and the Family room (photographs of a Shepherd’s hut) are described as having shared bathrooms, so I was careful not to book these. The Holiday home is described as having ‘1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, and a kitchenette’, so this sounded ideal. The photographs showed a glamping pod, and a yurt, and showed photographs of the private bathroom. So, I booked it. I was looking forward to something different and relaxing after a three-hour drive. We arrived to find we’d been allocated a Nissen Hut. There was no bathroom, and no separate bedroom. It was basically a Hut. The kitchenette consisted of a two ring hob. No sink. Nowhere to get water. No rubbish bin. No cups. Nothing. There was a coffee machine, but no water and nothing to drink the coffee with. Perhaps you are supposed to just put your hands or mouth under the coffee machine and hope you don’t get too badly scolded? So where was the bathroom that was advertised? Well, it’s a walk across a field in the cold and pouring rain! We also discovered that bedding is not provided. No mention of this at the time of booking. Luckily, we had a duvet and some sheets and pillows in the car. But if not, then who knows what we’d have done. Drinking water? We never found any. There were some taps outside, but these were labelled ‘NO GREY WASTE’. No idea what that is supposed to mean. No idea if this was drinking water, or perhaps this was the advertised bathroom? So, after a three-hour drive, we discovered that our 1 bedroomed, 1 bathroomed, 1 kitchenetted holiday home was not a holiday home at all.

We enjoyed leaving this place.

Power was lost at the site for the day and it was pouring rain and very windy (windy enough that our ferry was cancelled). We received no communications about if/when the power would be turned back on or the offer of alternate accommodation or a refund, due to the services paid for were not provided. We and many guests were left cold, wet and in the dark. Their emergency management plan was not evident and the poor way the incident was managed put their customers at risk. I value my health and safety too much so have no intention of staying at this site again.

Lack of a sink is an issue. Site rules re dogs being on a lead were not enforced.

Everything! The hut was adorably cute, plenty of room for us both, plus my little dog.. was close to facilities etc. but nice and quiet. Would highly recommend and will 100% be returning!
