Some of the breakfast options weren't great. My wife's pancakes were chewy and the bacon undercooked. That said, my cooked breakfast was fantastic

The location, the decor and the staff were all lovely. The location is also perfect.

Our stay in Glastonbury was overall wonderful, but ...

The room we had (no. 14) was very small with a mirror you would have to sit on a bed to use. The pillows were thick and very firm, so I could not use them, but managed with a folded towel. We went for breakfast about 9 a.m.. There was no orange juice left, only two types of cereal to choose from, all the shortages and - there were a quite few across the board- were put down to the high demand made in the Bank Holiday the day before. We waited for half an hour for poached eggs on toast. Still, what we did have was quite good.

Despite everything, we still enjoyed our stay. It was good to have tea and biscuits in the room, and especially the bottle of water was much appreciated. The power-shower was brilliant; and the towels were fantastic. Even though small without a single chair, the room was quite cosy; the noise of people chatting outside didn't really bother us.

It’s an old property with no lift so we had to carry our huge suitcases up 2 stairs

The room we stayed in was nice and big. Location was great with a restaurant downstairs.

Nearly all perfect , just that breakfast had run out of a few things although we were not late down - namely veggie and vegan sausages, granola and jam - which we would have liked.

Central location but a quiet and peaceful room at the top at the back. Tea coffee water and biscuits in the room, plenty of towels and hot water. Fast check in , friendly staff, good service. A beautiful period building very unspoiled and full of interesting objects and displays. We usually book a larger 4 poster room, this was the twin room, at a good price and comfortable.

We had a booked table for dinner, arrived and were told that orders were taking 45 minutes at least. One hour later the food came. We had to wait 10 minutes at reception for check- in. It seemed there were just not enough staff. It was not a staff problem but a management one.

The staff were all brilliant and helpful. Having a dog with us, was no problem.

Room prices are okay, veering towards overpriced, but you are staying in a 15th century hotel with bags of character, and there's a uniqueness to every room. I just thought I'd stayed in much better for the same price, but I think it does cater for the one off holiday maker, rather than the weekend break Brit. Access for disabilities can be a challenge. Can get very busy in the bar, but generally is okay and doesn't close too late, so is generally peaceful after 11. Staff were okay, not over friendly, but seemingly few and looked quite stretched at times. Food isn't exceptional, and again maybe overpriced considering the competition elsewhere in town. Plenty of cafes offering a wide menu, so you'd be silly not to sample those.

Positioned right in the heart of the high street. Ample parking behind the property, but paying. All day parking will cost £6.50 but that's not uncommon these days. Very atmospheric building dating back over 600 years.

I had a very bad experience whilst sitting on the toilet (I am medium build, 11.5 st) then the toilet seat suddenly broke beneath me giving me a terrible shock. I suggest you return to wood instead of strange composites.

Walls were very thin, next door had their tv on very loud which disturbed our baby for a short while. However, we are very aware that the building is very old and these things come with older buildings. It wouldn’t put us off staying again.

Location is excellent with access to the high street and to the car park at rear, our room was lovely and beds were very comfortable. Despite my anticipations, especially staying with a young child, the hotel didn’t feel uninviting or spooky, although our kettle did go off in the middle of the night! Lovely hotel, really pleased we chose to stay here. The lady in charge of breakfast was lovely too, was ever so cheerful towards us and our baby despite being run off her feet.

very poor senior management, most items on the breakfast menu was not available and the same problems with the main meals meant that the choices were very limited. However it must be said that the Bream which my wife ordered was cooked to perfection and so was my steak.
