There is nothing I can think of to dislike.

This is a repeat visit. I have stayed at the George South Molton many times over the years. The standard dropped some years ago under the previous ownership. The new owner has raised the standard considerably. I have noticed ongoing improvements each time I have visited over the past two year. The Hotel could not be more central. You got out through the front door and the Town Centre is right there. Ample Parking to the rear of the hotel is a good bonus. The rooms are not Hilton Standard but nor are they Hilton price. This is a Farming Market Town. The rooms are Clean, very Comfortable and of a Good Size. The Bar is often quiet in the evening but so are most bars in the UK. No evening meal option but your are made welcome to bring food from local Takeaways back to the hotel where a warm plate will be provided for you to eat in the Dining Room. How good is that. The staff on evening Bar Duty (Helen on this occasion) and the lady who has served Breakfast for many years are fab. The owner is friendly and attentive. I spend half of the year traveling on business and for pleasure. I stay in all grades of hotel in villages, towns and cities. I have not been disappointed in the George since the new owner took over. Well Done to all at the George.

Only small criticism with this room in particular is the couple of odd stairs to get into the room were a little awkward to get my suitcase up there but probably due to my fitness level and would be fine for others. I have stayed in other rooms in the hotel and they’ve all been wonderful.

Nothing, it was perfect for me.

I stayed to look after a friend after an operation and booked something last minute so I didn’t expect anything more than adequate. The George was friendly, lovely decor and the room was spotless and fresh. It exceeded expectations and breakfast in the morning was beautifully presented and lovely.

Didnt realise no restaurant so had to go out to eat or bring take away back but no problem in end. Boiler or fan started up at 6ish. All good otherwise

Good sized room with very comfortable bed & view of town square. Bathroom equipped with large shower cubicle with powerful shower. WiFi Good signal. Beautifully cooked breakfast using quality ingredients. Overall excellent value for money

The room was much smaller than we have previously stayed in, the slope on the floor was more pronounced, and the TV was not 'smart' as in other previous rooms (no Netflix, YouTube etc).

The contact from the owner about special arrangements over Xmas visits was very well done. The staff are all very friendly and made us very welcomed.
