Got there at 19:55 but bar/reception was unattended 'till 20:10. Finally checked in only to be told that the kitchen closed at 20:00 and, "Chef's gone home." Wasn't sure if I was supposed to replay a Fawlty Towers sketch from that point, but decided against trying to get a Waldorf Salad.

Lovely pub in beautiful village surrounded by wonderful driving roads.

We took our elderly dog who found the steps up to the room difficult. Not the owners fault. However, for elderly people this could prove an issue. Would be useful if it was stated that one of the two rooms is upstairs, which are quite steep.

Lovely little room with all required facilities. Clean and fresh. Tea and coffee provided plus toaster and bread bin. Beautiful countryside. Nice and quiet.

It was freezing when we walked in. No courtesy milk, or even spoons on our arrival.

My husband thought the bed too soft. But I was fine with it. One complaint - no mirror in the bedroom with the big bed nor in the bathroom. They are necessary.- even essential. Can’t comment on breakfast. There was none apart from croissants left in bowl. Coffee tin had chocolate powder in it!

Location. Staff. Mostly pleasant bed rooms,

The breakfast was a prepackaged selection of items in the room. The stairs to the room were steep and very slippery. The light fitting in the bedroom was FILLED with dead flies.

Quaint old pub, the room was sparklingly clean with only one exception.

OK, so I stayed in the Hayloft. I actually sent a message to the venue asking if they can change my room after my first night. From 1am to around 5am I could hear something running around in the loft above me. There must be a gap in the roof, but I could hear scratching and pecking for hours, and it was really loud. I had to buy earplugs for my second night. I would stay at the place again, but I would not want to stay in that room. I didn't sleep at all. But like I say, the room was nice, clean and the staff are friendly, they just need to fix the roof as the lack of sleep ruined my trip

Rooms were nice, clean and staff were friendly

The breakfast, a porridge pot, packaged croissant, wooden eating utensils, no plates or napkins. Odd numbers of items to eat not 2 of everything . The room was rustic shabby chic in style, I think The paintwork, bedhead and bedside tables were grubby looking. Fresh coat of paint would would make a difference. The chandelier lightshade was very dusty. Cheap loo paper.

. The pub facility was good and evening meal very acceptable, very nice staff. Good parking right outside our room. Good size bed and decent linen and pillows. Controllable heating. Opening windows. Kettle and tea, coffee etc Good shower . Country setting, as expected, in a good location for us.

It was very cold in the apartment and the pub. Limited toilet roll. Milk left in fridge that was out of date. Beds made up wrong although had said we were three females. Property cold. Staff couldn’t put heating on until they had contacted manager for code to lock for boiler. This meant we had to wait until 10pm. Whoever makes up the room needs to be debriefed better. Food in pub lovely. Staff in pub lovely.

The staff were friendly and helpful.

To be honest there was nothing. If I had to be picky ( and it would be picky ) as it is dog friendly place it could do with a dog poo bin.

The place was pristine clean - both our ensuite room - the Stables and the pub itself. The room was loverly, the bed was really comfy and the little touches were nice, for example 2 porridge pots, butter jam and a toaster..... The fact that they didn't charge for pets and diddt have a limit on numbers. We could have the dogs in the bar for a meal. Food was loverly - fresh ingredients, well cooked and presented. We took some friends there for the second night and they loved it too. Friendly and really welcoming staff - and locals !!! Loverly area with nice walks for the dogs. We would highly recommend and will return.

I probably missed this information but I would have preferred somewhere that did a proper breakfast rather than a basket of instant porridge and one standard croissant. I stayed two nights and the room wasn’t cleaned or changed after the first night. The bed wasn’t made and I had to go and ask for clean cups, plates and the breakfast basket refill.

It was well located for the visits I wanted to make. It was a nice bright room with a lovely bathroom. The main meal I had in the bar was very nice.

The hosts were super organised and helpful. The beautiful location and the accommodation fantastic. The place was the perfect mix of modern and classic. A sweet little was breakfast laid out, which I hadn't expected with fresh milk pods and there is a hot, decent pressure shower. The place has good quality fixtures and fittings well laid out and sweetly pressented. I wish I had time to stay longer.

Unfortunately my room wasn't ready..I didn't arrive until after 4pm..eventually got to my room sometime after 5pm.And not entirely the property's fault..but "breakfast included " was a processed Croissant pot of jam and pot of porridge in my room..not really what I had in mind.I travel throughout Europe and that wouldn't be a surprise..but in the UK!!!! Full English is the norm!!! So all in all rubbish really.

Very welcoming staff Lovely location and a nice pint. Good safe parking. My pint was a gesture..for my waiting.

Didn't realise we would be above the bar, thought was the out building when booking and the sound level from the bar was very noisy and loud. Couldnt sleep until after midnight when all closed up but then had a good sleep. Back bedroom was a bit cold when we got back and tried to put heating on for a quick burst but it didn't turn on. Probably not ideal for young children.

Staff friendly when booking in. Apartment clean. Good space. Free WiFi and Disney + kept the kids happy

We were not made aware that the pub would close at 6.30. We thought it would be open for a meal but we had to pre-order 2 sandwiches which we collected at 6.30. They were dreadful. The bread was like cardboard. We appreciate the kitchen was closed in the evening and the pub did us a favour making the sandwiches but they were almost inedible and not cheap.

Pub looked lovely. Room was comfortable and clean. Staff helpful.

Everything!! Sheets unironed - no pillow protectors. Tiny T.V., viewed by two hardwood chairs. Bathroom floor not been cleaned for ages. 3 sheets of toilet paper on two rolls. Towels very hard and faded - labelled as if anybody would want to steal them. Bedside light not working. Flower barrels outside door dead for years. Dead bird complete with flies and maggots to side of front door. If you think you can get away with not cleaning and maintaining a property by pretending to be shabby chic, this lot have given it a good go!! Defintely shabby, no chic.

    Breakfast not available. Location ok.
