The rooms are clean and fresh on the surface but tatty if you look closely and the skirting boards, doors need attention. The bathroom door in our room had mould on the bottom and the bathroom cabinet was very in need of replacing.

Continental Breakfast across the road was very nice. Excellent location for the museums and Royal Albert Hall. Nice welcoming reception area and pleasant reception staff.

The location was close to the Royal Albert Hall which we were visiting for a concert. In the morning after checking out we went to the V&A Museum which was nearby. The room we had was a basement room which allowed for a quiet stay. The room was big, with a comfortable bed.

The horrible thin plastic toilet seat. The lid buckled when I sat on it and scratched my fingers when I lifted it. Otherwise the bathroom had very nice fittings.

It was quiet at night. It was not too hot. The staff were all very friendly. The bed was long enough for a tall man. The breakfast was good and I loved the chandeliers. The location was perfect, in a quiet street near the museums, Albert Hall, park, nice restaurants, tube, bus stops. There was a 12pm check out, so not too early. Communication beforehand was efficient. The shower was powerful; the water temperature did not vary and there was a non slip mat.

I’d say it’s a 3 star hotel. No socket in a bathroom, very challenging to use a hairdryer. Price is quite high, and you only for location.

Location! Very convenient, walking distance to multiple museums and sightseeings. Not a big room, but quite ok for 4 nights.

This is an older building and so the elevator was quite small (four persons) which meant that accommodating large luggage was a challenge but not by any means a showstopper.

Room modest in size but had balcony with windows which open. Room was clean and en-suite shower facilities were excellent. Location was excellent for us and although there was through traffic on the street it was not obtrusive. Breakfast at the partner hotel across the street was excellent and staff were very attentive. The lobby area was light, spacious and well furnished. Plenty of good places to eat in the area at a range of cost levels. Parking was at a separate location at the end of the street (about 150 m) and the hotel had a discount for guests. Close to the museums and Albert Hall.

The room backed onto a school playground and was very noisy in the morning. The blinds didn’t quite cover the window so room was bright and people could look in if they wanted to.

Price, as from booking the price had decreased considerably but hotel refused to change the price from booking. I understand T&C but disappointing there was no price match. Made me feel the hotel was not value for money when I had other family get theirs room which were bigger and better, for much cheaper price.

This was my third visit to the hotel. Prior to each visit, I have asked for a room in a quiet location if possible. On my two previous visits, this request was adhered to, with a perfect room on the back of the property. However, not on this occasion. So, not only is there the traffic noise etc, as one would expect in London, but also, the occupants in the room next door had their television set on from circa 11pm when they returned to their room until 1.30am and beyond.

The location of the hotel is spot on. This is the main reason for my return visits.
