United KingdomThis accommodation deserved 10 stars. Wonderful location, modern and spotlessly clean rooms. Simply and stylishly furnished with an excellent shower room. The staff were very friendly and helpful and stored our bikes safely overnight. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. I would certainly recommend this bed and breakfast.

The property was refurbished I believe in 2019, The room we were given was superb, en-suite facilities with Jacuzzi bath, separate shower, We booked in on a Sunday and the restaurant was closed, no problem the Cheviot pub 50 yards down the rd, Breakfast was excellent, Staff very helpful. And fully secure cycle store.

Location was great for going for walks in kielder. Room was very clean and staff very friendly and attentive. My partner and I are vegan and there was great options for us breakfast wise. Room was large and comfortable, had a great stay!

United KingdomWe had an amazing stay, the room was incredibly clean, spacious and had a gorgeous bathroom and jacuzzi bath The staff were the highlight, though. The little things matter. We asked a question about a waterfall we wanted to see, and we had 2 staff members come out separately to help us. I am a picky eater, and wanted xyz to eat, not usually on the menu as such. But they sorted it for me as if nothing was too much trouble They also helped me with rubbish from my car, which I was cleaning out myself, and to my surprise, a lovely lady asked if she could help. I declined, politely, but it just showed how lovely the staff are Thanks for a lovely time!

United KingdomI understand that the cafe is "dog-friendly", and whilst this isn't a problem for us, not everyone likes to have a dog present whilst they are eating breakfast. Perhaps thought should be given to better segregation between guests and dog walkers at meal times.
Lovely spacious room with excellent facilities. Welcoming host. The breakfast on offer was more than adequate, nicely cooked and presented, although staff didn't seem prepared in time for the 08.00 serving. However, front of house was pleasant and helpful.

Great sized room, comfortable and clean. The staff were brilliant. We were attending a wedding nearby so unsure on the time we would be arriving and they were really helpful to accommodate this. Breakfast was excellent, with standard cooked breakfast and also veggie options. We would definitely recommend Fountain Cottage to others, and we would stay again.

United KingdomPersonal preference but the bed was too small (standard double), and if being really picky the room we had was next to the main B&B entrance so we had people coming and going, it was also the smoking point directly outside our room which wasn't ideal.
The location is lovely, the room we had was very nicely decorated and the bathroom was fabulous! The staff were lovely, couldn't do enough for you and the breakfast was excellent.

Breakfast was a highlight but also had an evening meal which was equally as good.
