Varied menu in the restaurant. Clearer description of where the rooms are located.

Breakfast was good. We had an evening meal two evenings, a change in menu would be good. My fault I’m sure but we expected our room to be in the Manor but we were in a chalet type room.

Stayed in the Stables and felt very overlooked as the front was all glass. I think net curtains would be a good idea, felt uneasy leaving our things on show although we knew it would probably be ok. The bathroom was very small and the shower door opens the wrong way. The step into the shower is quite high and no anti slip mat provided. There is an empty room next door which is for storage but I feel this space could be used better to extend the bathroom. Didn’t know that we would have people staying above us which was quite noisy at times. Our dog was made welcome and I checked on what the hotel provided and it stated bowls and bed. We took our own bed but bowls are no longer provided and we didn’t take ours they kindly gave us a couple of plastic pots. Also said tea and coffee maker and there wasn’t one only tea, coffee sachets with kettle etc. The grounds are huge and a map would have been a good idea especially to tell us where we could exercise our dog and what was within the grounds. Would have preferred an evening meal on the Sunday but we knew about this and a buffet style breakfast in the mornings. Our last morning on the Monday we were all hungry and two of us only wanted toast and my husband wanted a slice to go with his cooked breakfast. We were given one rack of toast which wasn’t enough for three so we asked again and got the same plus we waited so long to get someone we could ask. We felt we couldn’t keep asking. Felt bar was a little limited especially for me as rarely drink alcohol. The lemonade was from a bottle not on tap.

The location and staff were lovely. Plenty of onsite parking. Iron, ironing board and hair drier provided and plenty of storage. Beds very comfortable, again only blinds at the window just had the feeling of being overlooked all the time. Able to take our dog and one morning a doggy gift was left which was really nice.

Room was comfortable, but lacking a chair, only the stool for the desk. Which was not ideal for my 86 year old mother.

Wonderful grounds, comfortable room, Very helpful staff, Delicious food. Close to Dunkerswell airfield where our son was doing a skydive.

The breakfast offer was somewhat limited, it was included in the stay but I wouldn't have paid £15 for it. The sizeable window in the bathroom was covered in a very thin see-through blind, which didn't feel like it provided much in the way of privacy (though it looks out on greenery and I don't think that was accessible)

The hotel is beautiful and in gorgeous surroundings, the room was comfortable and clean, the windows opened wide and the stable door let in lovely fresh air. There's no noise from traffic or anything, just bird and other nature sounds. The restaurant has a large variety of dishes on offer. No fault of the hotel but the road to the hotel is very narrow and windy, a bit tricky to navigate.

Room was OK but being a conversion lacked privacy room from room. Our neighbour had a serious coughing fit at 3am. The douvee were far too hot. Location was lovely but really quite remote being 5 miles in the back of beyond from Honition.

breakfast was excellent. Location was lovely but a bit remote.

The room was quite hot overnight even with all the radiators off and windows open which is going to be checked by the team. Room 6 could hear some of the snoring in the room next door.

The hotel was really nice building in a beautiful setting. We had an excellent meal in the evening, and then breakfast was a really tasty selection of freshly cooked food. The bar area was very nice for a pint of Otter Amber and the outside terrace was very pleasant to sit out in the sun. We have a room with two bedrooms which were well equipped and the beds were very comfortable. The staff were very friendly. Overall an excellent stay - thanks!
