The music at breakfast, 60s and Shirley Bassey, not to everyone’s taste. Lounge music would be more fitting, also the restaurant would benefit from mood lighting in the evening, far too bright

Black pudding 😀

Breakfast was good. The Tempus breakfast black pudding was bland but I do prefer a spicier black pudding. Our room was nice but lacked a full length mirror which my wife said would have been nice to have.

Some of it was too high tech for its own good, and some design over functionality. Lighting system was unnecessarily complex - fine in your own home, but for a 2 night stay no one wants to spend endless time trying to sort which button does what, blinding each other or plunging into darkness against one’s wishes. Taps in the bathroom were beautiful but too low - to fill the kettle or to comfortably wash hands. And no response to maintenance issues raised re failed lightbulbs (in the lights we could have easily controlled!)

Wow....where to start. Fabulous hotel, from the accommodation, reception, quality of breakfast, ditto for evening meal and excellent service from each and every one of the staff. You would be mad not to give this place a go and we can quite understand why it is a very popular wedding destination - it is superb. We had a fabulous family room as we typically travel with our adult daughter who has learning disabilities, so when I say the staff were excellent, they truly were, kind and considerate at all times. The hotel is dog friendly and has an array of additional accommodation, from Plantation Pods around a small lake and additional buildings dotted around the estate. It is like another world - very highly recommended.

Great country location, ideally situated to explore Northumberland. This is a luxurious hotel furnished opulently and to a very high standard. Great value for money for the standard offered. The restaurant also offers an imaginative menu, which we enjoyed immensely.

The only niggle (and a very small one) - no safe in the room (stayed in the Pole Barn).

Set in a peaceful location surrounded by countryside the new building seemlessly blends into the area. The entire interior of the hotel is colourfully decorated to a very high standard and the junior suite we stayed in was large, comfortable, luxurious and again beautifully decorated. Food in the restaurant for both breakfast and evening meal was superb.

The decor is fun, especially the pink and orange dining room. Clearly a lot of thought and effort has gone into making it a lovely place.

Slight issue of our room had water leaking from the ceiling, we told reception upon checkout and it seemed dismissed. Was told management would be in touch following this but no one contacted us. Shame the tv had very limited channels and no netflix.

Beautiful grounds, hotel, stunning bar and restaurant. Delicious amazing cocktails and evening meal. Lovely decor, comfortable bed and mood lighting, robes and slippers fabulous addition. Friendly helpful staff, we really enjoyed our stay, so much so we have booked to go again !

There’s a sensor in the bathroom for the light which kept going off on its own. We shut the door so it wasn’t too much of an issue. Check out is a little earlier than other places we stayed this week but not too bad I guess!

Room was great and comfortable, had a beautiful bubble bath and cosy robes to chill in. There was a mix up with our room as someone else was in it when we opened the door, but the lady on reception was really sweet and sorted the problem right away. She also gave us tips with where to eat as we hadn’t booked the restaurant and it was fully booked.

Food was fantastic and breakfast too drinks on the expensive side of things but apart from that we had a lovely evening and to round it off weather was fantastic for the wedding we were at ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
