Furniture had been removed from room leaving unfinished/undecorated patches on the wall and lacking space for laying things out. This was not as expected.

Paying for parking in the NCP carpark across the road...there were issues with the ticketing and payment which was not the fault of IHG. Thankfully, IHG reception staff validated our parking ticket so we received a discount.

True to IHG standard, the room was as we expected: clean, well appointed, comfortable bed, spacious, free wifi. The breakfast was very good, well stocked and good coffee. The location was very handy to our needs.

Breakfast was extremely avoid busy times. Otherwise, you'll be sitting on pool table. Otherwise, great. The room was not serviced the second day. Mean with milk and tea. Although reception happy to provide more. NCP right next door, or but whilst they have discount still expensive

Breakfast time is a really chaotic. All staff are in the kitchen only coming out to refill food. No staff outside the dining area to attend to guest needs and clear tables. Guests ends up eating in tables with used plates in them. It ends up breakfast is taking longer as having to wait for tables to get cleared. We have stayed at other holiday inn which has at least 2 staff in dining area to direct guest where to sit and to clear tables. More efficient and comfortable that way

good location close to restaurants and shops. High street is just a minute away. Parking is also across the hotel plus discount is provided. Clean room.

The parking is not free. Although you get a discount for the parking it is not free. The quality of the breakfast was not great, e.g. scrambled eggs were quite questionable! However, it was very busy so staff were doing their best.

Facilities in the room broken . Having multiple visits to the reception to sort things out as we were all tired. Didnt sleep well because of the noise.

Booked two rooms as staying with older children and advertised as having a swimming pool Found out the pool was at a local fitness centre and we could not use it after 5. The tv in our room didnt work so they moved us to a connecting room which was better but then the AC/ heating didnt work in that roo. We stayed though as too much hassle to move again and we were all tired. Went into the bar but no beer on draft except Corona. Pool table was busy but we got a game in about 10pm. Didnt sleep well , hotel on a very busy junction with roadworks. Breakfast was lovely though and they let us check out at 1 so we could use the pool ( it opens at 2). They had checked us out at 10 so we couldnt get back into our room even though our bags were there but they sorted it eventually.Good location for the shops etc .

Food quality and selection was basic but fair but the dining area was too small for the volume of guests, not enough staff working to replenish food, crockery and clear tables. I emailed b4 our stay to ensure my son and dog were included on booking but on arrival, neither were and we had to ask for the sofa bed to be made up. Was rectified quickly though.

The multi storey car was just across the road which was discounted by the hotel there was loads of places to eat a 100 yards from the hotel the breakfast next morning was full of very good quality produce there was something for everyone

Dinner menu could have been better in terms of taste n choice. Parking charges should ideally be weaved off completely by the hotel.but we were given only 25% discount.

The complementary breakfast is pretty good.

While booking it said parking, fitness center and pool. but when we arived nothing was inside the property, we have pay addition for overnight parking and the pool for the local lesuer center.
