Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe booking process (web site performance) turned out to be faulty since I had changed no. of guests from 2 to 3 while I was looking at a family room which pictured 1 king sized bed split into 2 singles plus a separate bed for the 3rd guest. When I added the 3rd guest, the price for the room increased from £160ish t o £180ish, which I was happy with. But, apparently after I clicked to book the room and pay, the number of guests became 2, which I did not notice until I had asked a question of the accommodation re breakfast and their reply said 2 guests, so I rang them to tell them of our party size being 3. They told me to have Booking.com alter the reservation to 3 (which it originally was) and they took the opportunity to add another £20.00 to the price (their policy for putting sheets on a sofa bed). Which I fully understand, but it was NOT my fault that either your site, or theirs, or a problem with their integration, changed my reservation from 3 to 2 guests whilst I was not looking. I am sure the original page still said 3. I think this should be looked into, as I told the fellow in customer service who changed my booking back to 3 guests. door to the Two other points: their Guest Lift had broken down and, despite there being a second lift in evidence and my friend having arrived with a 'walker' to hold onto for balance, they persisted in asking her if she could manage 4 flights of stairs and would not offer her the service lift. That was less than I expected in terms of customer service, although they did call a young man to transport the walker upstairs. The Equitable Hotel advertise a 24 hour reception desk. We were leaving the hotel at 8.15 a.m. but had to put our keys in a little box near the empty Reception desk - so they have no-one to speak to at check out.
The accommodation was close (3.9 miles) to where we needed to be the next morning (Intercontinental Hotel at O2 Arena)) for an event. Beds were comfy, accommodation scrupulously clean and recently decorated

definitely the biggest plus of the hotel is the Location - less than 5 minutes close to the Subway, less than 30 minutes to Soho.

United KingdomHot water poor; in shower only tepid and no reaction when reported. Dangerous steps from en-suite into room. No information re: room cleaning or towel changes. When requested a confusion over new towels; we had to ask 3 times! Only one lift working.
Location excellent near DLR, buses, Elizabeth line and Uber ferries. Room spacious and airy.

PortugalStaff avoids any interaction at all, apart from 1 single lady (Indian look) where she was always smilly and polite. The rest I'm afraid still need to get full customer service training (outsourced), to understand that just being there physically is not enough, you need much more effort to justify your salary at end of the month
Big room (stayed at 21) with big window, was a great feel. Easy you use lift and get in and out. Outside, below building, nice cafe where you can grab okay coffee and pastries. If you need to be close to DLR or train, it's great spot. Outside, well, still Woolwich and I leave that for any person to give their own feedback of what you experience out there.

GreeceOk the location is not smth special but it is really convinient if you have a conference or exhibition in ExCel. Nothing else to do in the hotel/no other facilities.
The room was really really big!! Actually I had a room with private bathroom and it was like an apartment!! With a big window and nice city view, a big bed and a big sofa! Ensuite bathroom very big as well. The room was very clean. The metro and train station are in front of the hotel. Train is exactly one step away. This is really convinient. The ensuite room with private bathroom was really value for money!

AustraliaDespite best efforts by the staff to repair faulty antenna with Bunny Ears, we had intermittent to zero reception for the 4 day visit. No TV. No plug or waste in the sink.. There were over a dozen cigarette butts scattered across the balcony, no ash tray, no ‘No Smoking’ sign and no rubbish bin on the balcony.
Excellent location and easy walk to railway stations, DLR, Tesco, markets, restaurants and buses. Good views over the Woolwich town square. Bed very comfortable and bathroom very well appointed, ‘fridge was cold, WiFi was great. Staff we’re very responsive, helpful and engaging with good advice and local directions.

United KingdomMy only problem was that an alarm went off one morning which we didn't hear until we were leaving the building for a Costa. No one was around to ask if we had to evacuate and we didn't see anyone outside where the evacuation point was.
Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was very spacious and lots of storage. Very close to Elizabeth Line and the DLR. Shops nearby.

Great value due to the perfect location - just opposite Woolwich Arsenal train station and 3 minutes walk from Elizabeth Line Station. The family room is spacious and the sheets are clean. I would certainly return if I needed a travel transit/connection from Heathrow to City Airport.

SpainThe temperature and the pressure of the water are quite random, but manageable with patience. The room booked was supposed to have a bathtub, but when we checked the bathroom, the tub was covered by a piece of wood, so only the shower was available.
