Lovely room, however be prepared to go outside from the main building. Excellent health facitilites.

The only thing I did not realise when I made the booking was that the hotel rooms are outside the main building and up some very slippy steps and it was heavily raining. I was absolutely drenched each time I left the room to go somewhere else - covered walkways would be a good idea. Also parking is a bit confusing and there were only 3 disabled places which were taken up the whole time I was there.

The food was very nice. The staff were lovely and accommodating. The decor was nice in both the main building and the bedroom. Would have asked for a ground floor room had I realised the rooms were outside. Brilliant pool and gym facilities.

Place is little tired and needs a refresh. Room also needs decorating especially the bathroom. Kettle and Coffee machine leaked. There was a real fire in a boiler room. The young staff didn't know where the assembly point was. The diners in the restaurant and rooms took ages to come out of the building. So better training is required from H&S point of view.

Size of the grounds Spacious room Close to ferry terminal

They didn't bother fixing the shower drainage. Asked twice, never happened. Wasn't nice experience showering with blocked drainage. It was blocked already at arrival.

Breakfast was ok! The venue talks up its wonderful breakfast but it wasn't that great. Buffet style etc, some items were cold AND, remarkably considering breakfast is £26 each (yes £26 each!), it doesn't include speciality coffees i.e latte etc. These are extra! Couldn't cast Netflix from my phone to the TV which really should be standard nowadays.

Great setting and lovely feel. I'm in a wheelchair and had an accessibility room which was great

Our wardrobe was full of spider webs and a moth flew out when we opened the door. Also we paid for breakfast in advance and although it was really nice, the cleanliness of the table we were given was poor (we had to clean it)

Location as walking distance to most of the local area we wanted to see, swimming pool and a gym which were free with the stay. The grounds are amazing too

Rooms are a little tired (Henry Tudor) and could do with renewing furniture, paint and updating the decor. Cupboard door came off when I opened it.

Great location and setup. Rooms good size and able to separate kids into a different room for sleeping. Pool is good, lockers a little tired but free. Towels free. Ability to charge EV car at the property.

Outdoor Swimming pool very dated, insufficient sun loungers, absolutely full of people and children far exceeding the number of hotel rooms suggesting many outsiders coming in and possibly paying for entrance, supported by the massive quantity of used towels left at entrance gate by users of the pool Hotel guests have to register for towels and leave them at the Spa on departure . The rooms were built approximately 25years ago. Seem to have been recently updated but the sofa bed was very uncomfortable to sit on and very well worn. The balcony is very shabby glass railings dirty and decking in poor condition balcony furniture, shabby and uncomfortable. It was very hot and an umbrella would have been appreciated. It was very hot in the room we were given a fan on request which helped but the duvets are very thick so we had to sleep on top.

The breakfast was fantastic, best hotel buffet breakfast ever had. Good value when pre booked but horrendous at £26 pp if booked at the hotel. Coffee for breakfast excellent, cafetiere or pay extra for cappuccino etc

Would have preferred an upstairs room, as the people moving around above us woke me, and the toilet seat was broken. We reported on arrival but left with the broken seat still in place.

We booked the hotel for the convenience of walking to the Isle of Wight Ferry. It was less than 8 minute walk. Only sorry the hotel did not say before we arrived that they have a discount scheme for the ferry

A couple more food options in the bar. Cheaper breakfast. Children’s beds could be improved as they were only just big enough for our 6 and 9 year olds.

Service was a little slow when buying drinks during the day - possibly more staff would have helped. A wider choice of vegetarian options in the evening meal would have been better also.

Our room was excellent, roomy and very clean. Staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Very good choice of food at breakfast.

Lunch at one of the restaurants was quite bland and over priced, the breakfast too. Staff at the restaurant didn’t seem to know what they were doing. The products available in the accommodation bathrooms were clearly not the brand labelled on the bottles and were not pleasant to use.

The ground were gorgeous and the rooms were comfortable and had everything we needed. There were facilities available for guests to use. Good location and clean rooms. Reception staff in the main hotel were lovely.

Described as a family room however our 8 year child didn’t fit in the bed. We had to get another bed(“z” bed) brought over. Then this bed then didn’t fit in separate “kids” room. Annoying! The fridge looked like it’s been dropped from a massive height, we had to unplug it during the night as the noise was unbearable, Sandwiches were chilled nicely though. You’ll need these as the restaurant was massively over priced and under cooked. When a noisy family were upstairs (I’m only assuming when they were filling the bath) we sprung a leak from the ceiling that was dripping in the bath. When I checked out and mentioned this I had a fantastic response of “ Thanks I’ll let maintenance know “

The setting was fantastic along with the location of the property. Everything was close by if you didn’t fancy leaving for the evening. Both pools were great.
