Having to go home!

Even before we arrived I knew this would be a lovely place, Trevor and Kim were very proactive, called me to confirm we were coming and said our room was ready at any time that day. Greeted at the door by name is a lovely touch, the room was spotlessly clean very spacious with a really comfortable bed drinks tray with chocolates as well, in room fridge for fresh milk supplied as well. Perfect location being just far enough away from the hussle and bussle but an easy short walk to the beach or town. The breakfast is indeed worth the awards they have been given, a wonderful range of options rarely seen in anything less than a 5 star hotel If we return to Torquay for another stay then Elmdene will be out first call

Very comfortable and clean .Beautiful room with en suite with rolltop bath . Trevor & Kim were lovely hosts . Brilliant breakfast . Ten minute walk to seafront . Parking on site .

Our stay here was outstanding, it was beautifully clean, hosts couldn't do enough to make us welcome. The room was lovely and absolutely spotless. Breakfast was perfect, Highly recommend staying here as it is a little gem.

The Elmdene had everything we could possibly need for a quiet weekend getaway. The owners were very friendly and the choice at breakfast was amazing. The room was beautiful, clean and comfortable with the added bonus of a fridge and fresh milk for your morning in room coffee.

No dislikes it was perfect.

The room was spacious, the bed was perfect with luxurious bedding. The shower was very powerful. We had a little snug through a door which was a real bonus also. Exceptionally clean!

We loved staying here. We were welcomed with scones with jam and cream. Room was very comfortable. Breakfast was just so lovely, chatting with Trev and getting advice about the days activities. We felt very at home and were able to rest easily.

Everything was lovely. This property is run by the owners. They were very welcoming when we arrived and our room was absolutely beautiful. We were very comfortable and had a great stay.  We only wish that we were there for longer.  Thank you!!

Kim and Trevor are wonderful hosts, very friendly and welcoming. The room was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. Comfy bed, quiet room and a fridge, which is always useful. The breakfasts were plentiful and delicious. Unfortunately we only stayed one night, but would definitely stay again. Thank you both for looking after us so well xx

There is absolutely nothing negative to say.

Everything....., you have absolutely everything you would need and even those things you didn't realise you may need. Fridge in the room, real fresh milk, real Devon homemade scones with jam and clotted cream. Fan for those of us of a certain age who appreciate it, sewing kit, wind up torch, slippers, dressing gown.... the list goes on. Great location easy flat lit walk to harbour and restaurants. Excellent breakfasts and wonderful attentive hosts. Trev and Kim, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thank you so much.

Nothing to complain about. Everything was perfect.

Came down as it was my husband's birthday. The property was managed exceptionally well by Kim and Trevor who were fantastic hosts from the time we arrived until we left. They were friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Scones with jam and cream on arrival, fresh milk etc., all little personal touches which meant a lot. Had a room with a bath which was a bonus 🤗 Shame we had to leave as it was so relaxing. Would recommend this wonderful hotel to everyone. 5*****

There was nothing I didn't like.

The hosts were very nice and helpful. The location is great as it is a short walk to the beachfront. The rooms were very clean and lovely, we had a little side room next to our room with a couch, telly and fridge to store milk etc in. The bed was super comfy. The breakfast was delicious and set us up for the day. I can highly recommend staying here.
