Nothing comes to mind. Except get your steps in before you go! Lots of hills and stairs.

This location is fantastic! Couldn't be happier with the area. Where Victoria Street meets Grass market. Everything...is all around you! The Castle is 5 minutes walk. The Royal mile is around the corner or through the 'close" then cut up the stairs and you're there. Check out the restaurant outside the front door! "Dunedin Kitchen" Tell Mehmet "hello from Phoenix" for us! The staff is like a small family and they are all wonderful!

There were many keys on the key rings, all of which did not seem to fit the door locks. Entering and exiting was a bit tricky at times. Keyless entry would be a huge bonus.

Location was terrific! The apartment was very spacious and was well stocked for a short or long stay. We were promptly greeted by delightful Louie, who welcomed us and acquainted us with the apartment.

The location is outstanding! It is right in the buzzing city center but in a quiet courtyard. The communication prior to the stay was excellent. Upon arrival date, we were very kindly greeted by the host. The kitchen is very well equipped and they provided oil, salt, vinegar and pepper, as well as dishwasher tabs and washing liquid. Staff from restaurant next door smoking in close and fish boxes - however recognise that this is part of the character of the location. Collection of keys from host was not easy - difficult with many instructions on contacting them 1 hour before arrival.

Location in Grassmarket was perfect for a few days in Edinburgh. Ground floor unit was good however the ability to open windows for fresh air was difficult for security reasons. Facilities great with everything you need. Large unit for family holiday and guests of 6.

There was a washer but no dryer, so our clothing was hung throughout the apartment to dry, some of which took a day or two in the damp weather. Maybe a laundry rack would be useful there to hang wet clothing. The second bedroom was really small, but it was not a big deal, there just wasn’t really any room to put any luggage without having to step over it. These things would not be a reason to prevent me from staying there again or recommending it to others. It did not affect our stay in a truly negative way.

Location was excellent. Everything we wanted to do was within walking distance. It was really awesome being right in the middle of Edinburgh. Minutes walk from the royal mile, the castle, the train station and an endless list of places to eat or shop. The apartment was quite spacious, we had plenty of room for a family of four (mom, dad, two adult children ages 18 and 20). Everything was clean. There was lots of tea, sugar, and coffee. Having two bathrooms was awesome. We all really liked the place, it was a pretty cool spot. And it felt safe, as access to the close was behind a locked gate, and another gate at the entrance that wasn’t locked but would prevent passers-by from just wandering in.

being an old building there was not much light. being in the first floor, there were also no views outside.

We suggest any yanks to be sure to get explicit instructions from the welcoming staff on the laundry machine and the heating. We had a devil of a time figuring it all out. No dryer. Note: The access is a courtyard shared with many other apartments & the rears of two restaurants (with heavy smoking staff). This would be a disaster during warm/hot days for you’d need the doors open for any ventilation.

A very roomy apartment with comfortable beds, a large & comfortable master bed w/bath, well appointed kitchen. great location! Is really great for families!
