You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United KingdomPlace wasn’t clean, i had to go buy my own cleaning products and clean the place myself. There were holes everywhere in the bnb, no door handles on 2 doors…one being the bathroom! The pictures on booking.com are nowhere near the same as what me and my friends walked into. Was also told there was free public parking but ended up having to pay for parking.
The beds were comfy and the location of the bnb was in a nice area.

United KingdomFirstly, I didn’t like the attitude of the landlord… I booked and paid for one flat, and they send me a note after 40 minutes of booking time to go to another address on 30 minutes far away. Secondly, he doesn’t answer to our call, only respond to our message… Thirdly, the new property was in very bad conditions: dirty, dust everywhere, the boiler worked so bad, it’s noice wake up all night. I spent money for the taxi to go to another address, the most important.. I lost 2 hours of my time because of innacceptable and iresponsable of the landlord. In conclusion, I was very upset… the condition was too bad for the money what I paid, and also they changed the flat in the last minutes. I don’t recommend at all.

United KingdomNot so clean. Entrance was not clear, photo could help. And a lot of essentials were missing, towels, pan covers, microwave. Remote for tv is missing too. Counters and doors of bathroom needs work. And a welcome note or instruction sheets can help.
Location was accessible with local transport, Tram and bus. Beds was comfortable, plenty of room and beds for groups and family.

United KingdomFirst,we didn’t stay in this ocean inn.When we reach the address,I phoned the owner and he said they overbooked this place and so we had to move to other place in Portland street,one of the host property. .As you enter the house in Portland,it smells of mould and very cold,we have to phone again the owner to show us where is the gas for the heating,but,he didn’t come,he instructed us instead what is needed to be done, which we managed at some point,but,there’s no heating in the lounge/dining and when I messaged and called him,he wasn’t replying.The shower room got no hot water so,we have to wash ourselves in a freezing cold water because,the owner didn’t reply at all when we phone and messaged him.It was a terrible place to stay,the house is mouldy and the fridge Is filthy with moulds and the cooker is not working.Overall it’s not a good place to stay when you just want to go for holiday and relax.

All the rooms were discoulered and had a smell of smoke, all the mirrors had been taken off the walls and the downstairs bathroom radiator was falling off the wall. There was no remote control for the TV and there was also a loose wire hanging down the wall from the TV.

United KingdomThere was no property at the advertised site and we were lost, It was difficult to contact the property or anyone after a short call sending a message, and being directed to another place. Later I saw a message sent to us on the booked day around 1430 h saying they had to divert us to a new address due to over-booking hope they are cheating with the property site. There was no courtesy to inform in a formal way. When we booked in advance how can there be an overbooking? Only the space was enough with adequate beds and 4 rooms but everything else was very poor. I am not happy with the booking, not worth for money spent. At last, it was 2030h when I found the redirected place. Suggest a booking.com representative to visit the place and see, I appeal to booking.com to make arrangements to refund the fair amount of money I paid.

The worth/standard of the new property was below what we paid for. The entrance to the apartment was too dirty and unkept, though the apartment itself was nice and well cleaned.

MalaysiaDirections to the place was wrongly stated on Booking.com. Went on a scavenger hunt to find the place and asked the locals. There was no manual on how to operate the heater from the host, the whole family was freezing inside for hours until the host sent someone to check the heater. Amenities i.e towels were not provided upon arrival as advertised. The fridge was also broken (without prior notice from the host) and the host promised to send a technician to fix it but never came and the host did not respond to my messages about it. The host said it was broken the day before our stay but the smell said otherwise, SO SMELLY LIKE IT HAS BEEN BROKEN FOR DAYS! I hope the host will improve its services for other travellers so they'll not experience what we went through.

United KingdomName suggests the apartment is part of the new Ocean village in Leith. It's a downstairs flat off the main road, the opposite side to Ocean Village. No towels (though it says there are towels on the instructions), no bin, no working fridge. Price good for groups and good location.

Awful communication from property owner. Still has not issued a VAT receipt. This property should not be rented as breaks many health and safety regulations.

They then eventually got back to us to say the property was overbooked and we needed to go to a different address (not listed on the website). This was a massive safety concern for us, and while trying to get in contact with booking.com to report the issue, the host continued to message asking 'Are you coming or not'. DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY.

BangladeshThey moved us to another property as the one we had booked was “overbooked”. The property was not cleaned and there was stuff all over the house. Sofa cushions were turned, there was a towel hanging on the stairs, an iron on the another couch, cutlery was dirty. The heater was not functional and WiFi was turned off. We had to spend an hour trying to figure out how to get the heat and WiFi up. Even after that, heating was working only on the ground and 2nd floor, the 1st floor heating didn’t turn on at all. It was pretty cold and the property manager did not even respond when we requested assistance. Absolutely horrible experience.
