The only issue we had was on arrival the Wifi was not working but John got the set up changed the next morning (it then worked perfectly) and in the meantime we used the house when we needed any Wifi connection.

A delightful B&B with a wonderful view, cozy bed, and delicious breakfast. There were not a lot of options on this part of the Northcoast 500, but I think we found the best option! Easy to find and check in. One dinner option within a short walk and a quick drive to nearby sights.

Closest restaurant to the proper for dinner was not accommodating, but that has ZERO to do with the property itself.

Everything. Everything. EVERYTHING! If you're looking for a quiet escape with fantastic walks along a beautiful beach, you've found it. The owners and hosts are absolutely fabulous. 5 stars is not a fair rating. 10 without batting a lash.

Nothing!!!!

We loved everything.... we didnt stay in the main house but had one of the "chalets" in the grounds.... it was absolutely beautiful.... lovely decor, very clean and great view of the beach. Breakfast was amazing and delivered to the door at a time good for us. Hotel for dinner was about 100 mtr walk and food and bar there was good too. Would thoroughly recommend this place and wouldnt hesitate to return if up that way again.

We didn't like that we only had one night!

The hosts were amazing. Sheila was so accommodating to our requests and prepared the most delicious breakfast for us extremely early as we had travel plans. Everyone was so informative and friendly. Room (Bay suite) was exceptional, cosy and comfortable. Other part of our group stayed in the garden suite and said it was incredible.

The cottage we stayed in provided utmost comfort, with top-quality linen and towels that added a touch of luxury to our experience. The bathroom products were also of high standard, enhancing our overall satisfaction. The breathtaking view from the cottage added to the charm of our stay, giving us a sense of privacy and tranquility. To top it all off, Shiela, our host, was incredibly friendly and accommodating. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed, ensuring that our hot breakfast was delivered to our cottage at a time of our choosing. Her hospitality made our stay truly unforgettable.

It was an amazing stay

Extraordinary stay, in a wonderful B&B overlooking the bay - what else to ask for!! The house is absolutely beautiful, the room was massive and beautifully furnished. We had a big balcony with a dreamy view on the bay, and the service! Sheila made sure we were well looked after, and even waited for us even though we arrived later than expected. Make sure you save time for the breakfast, you cannot miss out on the food! Everything about this stay was so perfect and peaceful, I cannot recommend it enough!! Highlight of the stay as mentioned was the view, and the bed!! Probably one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. If you are in the area and are looking for a place to stay, no need to further look because this is it! Absolutely loved it, and Sheila will make sure you have the best stay possible!

The garden cabin was beautifully put together with a high quality finish. Lots of detail considered. The bed and sofa are super comfortable and the outside chairs provide the perfect spot to sit and take in the stunning view. Sheila the host couldn't be more helpful.

The location was amazing, very close to the beach with beautiful views. The apartment was very tidy and the kitchen had some of the basic facilities needed for a short stay (e.g. a small fridge/freezer, coffee maker, toaster, plates/glasses/cutlery). The bathroom was beautiful with great shower pressure and the bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. The breakfast was unbelievable - and delivered to the cottage every morning; we thoroughly enjoyed it! Sheila and John were amazing hosts and made us feel so welcome. Thank you.

All was excellent

Excellent location overlooking the Bay. Room (The Bay Suite) was beautifully appointed with a large comfortable bed, en-suite bathroom, area for drink making etc. The room also has the added luxury of a bath in the bedroom with views over the bay. Sheila was an excellent hostess and our breakfast served in the room was exceptional with lots of choice.

We failed to book somewhere for dinner in advance, but that is on us and no fault of the hosts. Plenty of options were presented by the hosts - we should just have planned better! Definitely recommend selecting and booking somewhere in advance.

Fabulous breakfast delivered to the room with a huge selection to choose from. Excellent food very nicely presented and couldn't have asked for a better view! The quality of the accommodation was matched by the warmth of the welcome. A thoroughly nice place to stay. Whilst we were there just one night on the NC500, I could envisage coming back with the family and making a long weekend of it - plenty to see and do within an hours drive.

Everything was excellent at Dunnet B&B Escapes. The location is very convinient to do walks around (e.g. Dunnet Head). The room was wide, clean, with everything we needed and more! Breakfast was delicious.

I stayed in one of the small cottages adjacent to the house. Shiela was a fantastic host – her homemade scones were hands-down the best I've ever had. I'm still dreaming of them 2 months later... the "cottage" was clean, spacious, and perfect for what I was looking for. Wish I had time to stay longer!
