Booked as a Christmas present for my parents, they had the time of their lifes. The hosts couldn't do more for them, just fantastic hosts and people. The room was amazing, and huge. Overall one of the best places they have ever stayed. If I could rate it 20/10 I would.

I cannot say enough good things about this lovely B&B - from the kind and helpful proprietors and staff, the stunning sea views, the decor, comfort and cleanliness, to every detail, big and small. Truly one of the nicest hotels we’ve ever stayed in, and we travel a lot.

Everything about the stay at Dungallan was incredible, from our welcoming and friendly hosts, to the comforts and style of our accommodations, the resplendent whisky bar, the outrageously beautiful view of Oban and the nearby islands, the delicious and varied breakfast offerings…I could go on forever. If you are traveling to Oban and can spare the luxury, stay here.

I suppose...... to be picky........ the room could have been a little ..... roomier???

This is an exceptional hotel and the location is glorious. We know Oban fairly well but really enjoyed returning there and having a night in this beautiful hotel.

Absolutely nothing to fault

An absolutely beautifully restored period property with lovely garden and phenomenal views across Oban bay Amazing team and Simon and Kirsty couldn’t do enough for their guests. Great team.

Nothing, everything perfect. I have tried to think what could be improved and honestly cannot come up with a item.

The breakfast was delicious, traditional Scottish, smoked haddock, kippers, fresh fruit , pancakes or continental. The hotel was exceptional, the linens, furnishings, and excellent customer service. Cannot recommend this hotel enough - absolutely fabulous!

The bed wasn’t that comfortable, I even turned and rotated the mattress! Felt like both sides sagged..

Lovely staff & owners really pleasant & knowledgeable . Very clean, fresh towels, tea coffee making facilities, water in the fridge in the room. A well stocked bar downstairs, a library and stunning views of the bay

Nothing to fault!

Amazing views from a beautiful hotel. The McCaig’s Tower Suite is one of the nicest hotel rooms we’ve ever stayed in. The whisky bar is great. Food was excellent and Simon and Kirsty are great hosts and were genuine and friendly. Lots of small touches such as fresh flowers around the hotel and sweets in the rooms!

We've just come back from a short trip to Dungallan Country House, and we had the best time. We were looking for a relaxing few days away and that's exactly what we got. Kirsty, Simon and the team couldn't have been nicer and nothing was too much trouble. The facilities, from room to bar Anne breakfast were first class We will definitely be coming back and the photos don't do justice to the amazing views. Thank you again for a wonderful stay.

Everything about Dungallan Country House was first class from the welcome by the management, the accommodation, the view, the facilities, the added extras, the breakfast and all the staff. We will be delighted to return again soon.

Very nicely appointed property with attention to detail evident. The rooms were beautiful and the added touches such as whiskey and chocolates lovely. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful with information about the local area. The breakfasts were generous and served by friendly staff.

There was nothing about this place or host/staff that we didn't like.

We liked absolutely EVERYTHING about this place and the beautiful hosts! Our room was small but VERY nice and also came along with snacks and sweets. The location was on a hillside with a BEAUTIFUL view of the water and the grounds were nicely decorated with ample room to sit/lounge without feeling crowded. The breakfast was to die for! Cooked to order as if you are at a 5* restaurant! The entire place has high quality decorating and has been lovingly restored and cared for by the hosts. I highly recommend!

No complaints

A real home from home. Service and accommodation was excellent, there is a nice bar and library to sit in, very comfortable. Exceptional breakfast from fruits and cereal to a fresh home cooked breakfast of your choice served to you at the table. Hosts go over and above to make your stay comfortable, good local knowledge for walking and eating out. Can not recommend this stately home enough, we will definitely return.
