There is no lift at the hotel and there are 3 floors of rooms. We were on the 2nd floor and it was challenging as the building is an old brewery with very high ceilings, hence the 36 stairs to climb. There was little to no evidence of this information before we booked. It might not have changed our decision but we could have asked for a lower floor. The bed has a lovely looking wooden surround along the edges that is very unsafe when getting in or out of the bed. The hall lights are so low with low wattage bulbs that it is quite grim to walk the halls and the stairs.

Customer service is excellent in all areas. The food is good and even room service food arrived hot and well cooked.considerable efforts on environmental concerns re lighting. A new feature is that if you agree for no maid service the next morning they give you a voucher for a free drink per person.

Most of the staff members were good, friendly and helpful however nobody came to take our order at breakfast and I had to go and ask the waiter to take my order. The breakfast room wasn't busy so he should have come over sooner. Petty but it was a bit annoying. I think the bar and restaurant prices scared off customers as both were quiet on a Saturday night even though the hotel was quite full.

Lovely stylish hotel in great location close to the river. Nice room with everything we needed. Our room on the second floor had a bath in the bay window overlooking the courtyard that was quite nice.

More power sockets, better lighting, latch for the window

A great hotel with a greayt location, the only issue we had was not enough plug sockets in the room and very poor lighting, and we had to wedge the window open with a bottle so we could get fresh air in the night.

Two flights of stairs with no lift were a surprise, as was £15 overnight charge for parking underneath the hotel. There had been no instructions about how to find the parking entrance either. After the third circuit of Henley, I pulled off New Street into the hotel pedestrian entrance to find out from Reception!

The staff were exceptionally helpful, professional and polite. Dinner was excellent.

Our room didn’t have a great view- a bit of roof and an air con duct. Room was also quite small for the price and the bathroom had a glazed panel which isn’t very private

The car-park. Understand that this is a listed building, but trying to manoeuvre was very difficult given the pillars etc.

Amazing size of room. Very comfortable bed. Loved the l’Occitane handwash/shower gel. Appreciated the green approach to servicing our room. Views of river, although had to duck round desk etc to see out properly. Easy to reach town centre and riverside.

The room was dirty in places, some of the light fittings didn’t work and were falling out. The room didn’t have a smart tv or any ability to stream/connect. There was no fridge in the room. When the room above flushed or showered of emptied the bath the noise was quite intrusive. Worst of all was the AC did not work which led to a very uncomfortable first and second night - all noise and no cooling.

A really creative repurposing of a lovely old building. Loads of character and lovely decor throughout. The room was great and large and the bathroom was an amazing space. Breakfast and the service in the property were brilliant.
