Our room was smallish with steps down to the bathroom. Difficult to negotiate especially in the middle of the night. Also the sower has no handheld shower so if you’ve just had your hair done and don’t want to get it wet it’s impossible to shower. No fridge. No useable mirror for makeup.

Great bistro and bar. Love the decor. Staff are great.

All in all good. Stuff was kind and welling to help. Rooms were old but good. However, I think they can increase the level of cleanliness. There is no lobby in the hotel but there is a good restaurant. According to the pictures in booking I thought it is more classy. The left is tooooo slow as well. One more thing is that they don’t have friges in the rooms that create a problem for me because I only drink cold water and I need to keep my medicine in the fridge.

Room was on the gloomy side as only had windows looking onto internal courtyard. Also, the noise from the extractor fan into the courtyard was 24 hrs.

A beautiful building with character and charm. Food is excellent and staff friendly and helpful.

The location of the mirrors could have been placed better, especially with the lighting available in the room. There was no light in the wardrobe (there was evidence it used to exist but has been removed and not replaced). A few refurbishment touches needed (bathroom mirror had been reapplied to the wall and previous drill holes not covered and painted.

Staff were all very polite and professional. Great service received all round. Bed was very comfy and room decor was impressive. A drinks voucher in exchange for eco friendly housekeeping was a nice touch.

Our room seemed to be next to a rubbish chute - noise particularly early in the morning. Breakfast was poor.

Some things look a little dated but as far as the whole experience went, it didn’t effect the stay or enjoyment of it at all.

The hotel has a lovely feel to it, not like brand new hotels where everything is modern and the same in every room. You could feel that the place had history behind it and it was a beautiful place to stay!

The entrance doors were really heavy and at the top of stairs, so difficult to negotiate with luggage. Whilst the room was large and well equipped it felt soulless. There were a couple of large walls (above the bed and above the bath) that would have really benefited from a big picture.

Beautiful building, good loaction, friendly staff, nice option to forgo room cleaning in return for free drinks, nice comfy bed, beautiful toiletries.

It’s looking tired, lots of scuffs and wear and tear in the room. Sink and bath both chipped and stained.

The blind was broken and we couldn’t close to shut the light and the bedside lamp was trickling. The staff was very attentive and sort out the room change. However this meant packing and unpacking again and has taken out time supposed to chill out in the room before the dinner and ended up rushing out. The shelf in the bathroom was tilted so we couldn’t place any toiletry bottles safely.

2nd nights breakfast weak. No butter and no jam, waiting delivery! Sat on a table for two where other guests walked past very close making it uncomfortable. Staff at this 2nd nights breakfast unfriendly or helpful. Toast is self service, which means you get your toast then wait far to long before your breakfast arrives so cold toast...or wait for breakfast and let that go cold while you go and queue to get your toast... Process failure somewhere. :-(

Most staff very good. Room nice and clean as well as very comfortable. 1st nights breakfast great! Staff serving us excellent, friendly and pleasant. Reception staff excellent.

I always prefer a stand alone shower rather than a shower over a bath - some rooms do have big walk in showers

reliable comfort - I checked out before breakfast but staff offered me a take away breakfast which was nice to have - public car park is a block away which is useful and has car charging ( I could not get it to work )

Great central location. Less than 10min walk to Utilita arena and less than 10min walk to bull ring shopping centre. Stayed here for wife’s birthday and got an upgrade to a suite-it was really spacious! Also got a complimentary drink because of wife’s birthday which was a nice touch.

The bath/shower were quite steep to get into and our walk-in shower was a bit slippery under foot (used the bath mat). Both types could do with some safety handles. Lighting was very low, making the rooms and corridors seem a bit too dark and putting on make-up was not easy! It seems a shame that the modern hotels have lost the residents lounge with comfy chairs to relax in and enjoy an afternoon cuppa or a pre- dinner drink (bars are not quite the same. But that is the trend

Staff pleasant and helpful, particularly on the reception desk. Lovely building in a great location. Food and service in the dining room were very good ( though no lamb, pork or proper chicken on the main menu) Bed was comfortable and everywhere was clean

Nothing not to like.

We were upgraded at reception on asking and were put in your best room at a rate we were very happy with, thanks to the lady mngr on reception duty. The bar staff were also excellent; friendly, chatty & helpful - also happy hour on a Friday night which helped. Your in-house champagne is gorgeous.
