Beautiful, cozy well appointed cottage

The bright white LED ceiling lights in the living room/kitchen are a mood killer. We didn't use it and moved the standing lamp from the living room in there.

We were looking for a few days of Scotland feeling in solitude and got what we were looking for here. The cottage is secluded and with a beautiful view on a bay in the north-east of the Isle of Skye. It is surrounded by pastures with sheep. Kilt Rock is almost on the doorstep and the location is perfect for visits to Old Man of Stor, Quiraing, Fairy Glen. The cottage itself seems a bit old despite the renovation, but it has everything you need for a few days in a household. At first glance the price/performance ratio seems unfavorable, but then there are: location, location and location.

This little gem was just perfect. Comfortable, great checkin instructors, very well equipped, and so peaceful. We'd highly recommend staying at Driftwood Cottage.

There was nothing I didn’t like about this property and we look forward to returning again next year.

Lovely location overlooking the beach with great views. A lot of detail went into the decor of the cottage which was furnished with good quality furniture, beautiful towels and well stocked crockery and utensils for cooking. The cottage was bright inside freshly painted, patio doors leading out to the garden and velux roof windows that captured the light throughout the cottage. It is a haven of peace and tranquility.

We loved everything about Driftwood Cottage. The location and the views were outstanding, the cottage itself had everything you could ever want and need. It was lovely to have some down time after traveling from one B & B to another. We would definitely stay there again.

The cottage is wonderful, clean and the location is excellent. The booklet with information available at the house was very useful. The kitchen was fantastic and the house was warm, beds very comfortable. We couldn’t really enjoy the garden since it was raining quite a lot and the days are short, but it was beautiful and very well maintained. We saw an amazing sunrise from the kitchen.

Driftwood cottage is perfect. A wonderful quiet location with amazing views. Very clean and well equipped. We immediately felt at home. When we sent the owner a text to ask a question we had a very helpful and speedy response. Whilst the bathroom is downstairs, we did discover that there is an ensuite toilet in the twin bed room which saved us a trip downstairs in the night.

Being really really picky, did not like the bright fluorescent lighting in the kitchen, but we brought lamps into the kitchen area when we were having dinner in the evening. Would have preferred not to come downstairs to go to the toilet, but hey, we were in a lovely cottage in a remote location and knew that when we booked! I am only giving negatives in case helpful and because being asked for dislikes

The heating settings is too low which is too cold for us.

Great location with all the cooking utensils and spices. washing machine and dryer are really helpful for us.
