Lovely hotel, imagine it is great for conferences. Very airy design with nice outside space and water. Super clean and great breakfast. The double bed was huge and comfy.

Needs attention to bathroom with maintenance on tiling and sink and shower control

The bathroom layout needs revision The single tap was extremely fast flowing very noisy and Difficult to control water flow and get correct cold/ hot mix water flow. Not a fan of this type and very water wasteful Better shelf to hold toiletries, not glass. The glass over sink cover is dangerous and in reality sited to low over the sink There is :- No air conditioning , no obvious heating Beds not being able to fix in position ( twin room) Toilet extract fan not operational No toilet brush Dislike having to step up and over into what is a bath , risk of slipping,why not a shower only layout? The plug did not easily fit the plug. Question how do you clean the plug waste outlet, I hate to think what’s in there.

We dinned at a local pub as the menu at Spokes was very limited, it needs a more varied menu.

We had no issues, everything was as it should be, the staff were all friendly and the grounds stunning.

Still always a problem with hot water at the sink - if you need hot water the pressure is always way too high and water splashes everywhere

Lovely location, breakfast was nice. The only flaw is the central heating which is yet to be switched on. A member of staff kindly provided us with an extra duvet which helped.

Just the conveyor belt type toaster kept getting stuck.

The breakfast was extremely good and plenty of choice. The hotel was convenient for the QMC where my husband was having a major operation, so i needed to be near by.

We walked into the centre but got a taxi back as the area didn’t feel overly safe at night. Not a fault of the hotel, obviously, but just be aware if you’re travelling alone.

Breakfast was good; there was a lot of choice. The room was big and fairly comfortable. I like a very firm bed (which this wasn’t) but I slept well nonetheless. Staff were great - polite and welcoming.

Walls between rooms were a little thin, I could hear the lady next door have a conversation on the phone, and snoring from another room!

Clean and spacious room with a large comfortable bed. The whole hotel was very clean and well kept. Staff members were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good quality and well stocked with plenty of choice. Lovely venue with good conference facilities.

The sound really carries here so not one for those who need an early night - the sound of people socialising in atrium was really magnified (they weren’t being particularly raucous or loud but kept us up). Also there were some noisy wedding guests a couple of rooms down who we could hear really clearly waking us up at 6am with singing/shouting. Front desk staff a little grumpy but maybe caught them on a bad day!

Really lovely setting and felt light and airy. Nice places to sit by the water. Easy to park. Breakfast was really nice. Probably good for group bookings due to nice big atrium to socialise in with bar. Room was good. Special shout out to our cleaner (I didn’t get her name) who was really smiley and friendly.

I parked in front of the hotel (free car park, no booking required), and the following morning, I returned to find my car covered in some sort of sticky liquid, likely from the tree above. The cars parked next to mine were also affected, though to a lesser degree. I had to take my car to a car wash, as I could barely see through the windows. It would be better to remove those trees and replace them with ones that do not cause such unpleasant surprises in the morning. The entire situation cost me time and money and could have easily been avoided, even if the reception had simply advised against parking there.

A very spacious and clean room with a TV and tea/coffee-making facilities. The location is excellent, being close to Queen's Medical Centre and the city centre. There is an amazing view from the lakeside café. In good weather, it’s a lovely place to sit and have a drink or a meal.
