We were booked into a triple single, I think it was room #1. None of the mattress were great, but the one closest to the bathroom was really awful. Also there wasn't enough parking so we had to park on the street. From the photos and description, I thought it was going to be better.

Room was shabby and tired looking, bed base very grubby. Bedroom floors creaked constantly, including the room next door which was noisy enough to wake us Stayed four nights room not cleaned over that period, bins not emptied or coffee replenished, had to ask for toilet rolls Drinks cost more than the food Listed as NEC/Birmingham Airport..... wouldn't like to walk to them from here

Bathroom light didnt work but an easy fix i gues

Breakfast was poor my partner didnt even finish hers, there was rust on the shelving in the bathroom which im personally not a fan of, noise from other rooms above and next door felt like thin walls

Bed was abit un comfortable. Really loud music saturday night till 12.15. Bit annoying when we had to be up at 6.30am The music also increased in volume .

Needs a lick of paint in bedroom and some comfortable pillows, it was like sleeping on a concrete slab, otherwise ok, if we go again we will take our own pillows. We were on ground floor and the floorboards on the next level were very creaky.

Single bed was pretty hard The noisy floor boards from the room above room 15. Could hear people walking around at 1am and banging doors then the same from 7 am. Road noise was loud Sink loose in bathroom Curtain tieback held in the wall with stuffed paper.

The flooring was old and looked dirty. Surfaces around the building were sticky. Not just the bar area where drinks may overflow, but push plates on doors and tables.

The canal side is a really nice location. The beer garden is a comfortable place to sit down in the evening.

The lead for the morning tea kettle was too short to reach the tray on the drawers and too short to reach the window Cill or the floor . I finally balanced the kettle on the radiator precariously

The structure was quite old and I could hear everything from the floor above. Basically, there was someone upstairs that woke me up at 5am and I could hear lots of noises coming from the floor being very old when this person was walking around. I had a terrible sleep so I would not book this place again.

I like the pub with both inside and outside tables. The accommodation price was also very competitive.

The rooms could do with some updating, skirting boards were damaged, marks on the carpets, paint peeling in the bathroom and a light bulb was missing in the bedroom. The beds could be comfier.

The food was delicious, and staff were very helpful. The gentleman serving breakfast this morning (29/05/2024) was extremely helpful and really looked after us and our children. I unfortunately didn't get his name but he made our morning, thank you.

No towels or mugs in the room again also no teaspoons to stir your drinks. No problem staff sorted this out just a pain when you are tired and get in your room to find this out. We like to stay here and this would not deter me but could be addressed maybe for next time we stay.

Good location for birmingham. Nicely situated by a canal nice surrounding country side views.
