Room was spotless and comfy, but I would have liked a comfy chair to sit in, rather than lying in the bed to watch TV. The breakfast was okay, I stay in lots of hotels, and this was average, but served by an excellent server.

A beautiful old hotel in the centre of Blandford Forum. The staff were excellent and the food was good.

not a nice view from our bedroom windows.it was a view of vents of some kind, and other room windows in a well of some sort in the middle of the building. Breakfast was 2 out of 10, due to it being too hard to eat, as it was microwaved.

superb dinner dog friending bar, with dining tables for customers with dogs lovely room internally, spacious and well decorated, and was luxurious lift to our floor lovely outdoor area to the front of the hotel with great comfortable seating staff were amazing

The Crown treats its regular customers really well and always takes feedback on any improvement so there’s nothing to dislike

The crown is ann exceptional Hotel with everything you would expect. The rooms are a home from home, the staff are friendly and helpful, the food is delicious and the garden is lovely to sit in and enjoy a drink and there’s always a place to park your car. Great bring n by the river for a walk. The music fest was fun too

Very slow breakfast service as other customers who had just come in for breakfast appeared to be served first. It took 35 minutes from sitting at a table to get our breakfast.

Nothing I loved everything

Everything. The people, the staff, the food and the location was magnificent. If your there GET THE PANCAKES WITH BACON the best thing that has ever graced my lips. The room was soo clean and so inviting it felt like home

Two small things you might check In room 15, the bed had a strange creaking to it. I didn't identify it, but it might be worth trying to bounce up and down on it and see what you hear. When leaving the hotel in a car, the view of oncoming traffic from the bridge is obscured by vegetation which seriously needs trimming

Excellent range of food at breakfast. I had supper only once and that was a vegetarian curry which was fine. The room had everything I needed, although I could not find a socket to charge my mobile phone. I did not enquire because I could charge it in my car.

The room was particularly warm which made it difficult to sleep and the boiler or fan noise in the morning.

The property was in a great location, clean and tidy. Staff were helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable.

Service at breakfast was a little awkward. We arrived with no idea if we should just grab a table or wait for someone and then were ignored whilst a member of staff made themselves busy before attending and showing us to a table. It was a bit odd and something that could probably be rectified very easily. The bed was advertised as being very comfy. It was not. The mattress felt like it had seen some years and was very firm which was surprising given we booked the upgraded room

The decor was amazing. A very interesting place with lots of stories to be told. The facilities were clean and well maintained. The restaurant served incredible food. Compliments to the chef. We had a lovely evening meal and a great breakfast

The bar ran out of Tanglefoot on Saturday evening - not great bar management, given it's brewed only about 500m away

The room was very comfy, especially the bed. The breakfast was very good, as was the evening meal in the dining room. The hotel location is lovely and makes for easily visiting attractions in Dorset. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Christine in the restaurant.
