Toilet hadn’t been cleaned and was very unpleasant. Reported it immediately and the problem was rectified within five minutes. Shouldn’t happen when paying for a deluxe room but at least it was sorted out quickly

Large comfortable room nicely decorated with view over open fields. Comfy bed and very quiet

Bathroom needed TLC, oval step up/ down bath quite slippy. Mattress nor pillows very comfortable. Breakfast of eggs benedict, eggs and hollandaise were good but let down by hard bacon and tough muffins?! Not at all the hotels fault but had kids running up and down the terrace outside my window late at night which wasn't fun. Breakfast I was seated in another room away from other diners which is fine but as I had my dog with me it made it very difficult to go all the way to the breakfast bar without her

Four poster room was very lovely and tranquil.. (Until later) very large too. Lots of windows with lovely views but well protected with wooden blinds. Nice selection of beverages in room. Bar/ dinning area downstairs comfy and relaxed. Staff were nice. Real ales which was great find for me. Starter of veg steam dumplings very good, venison unfortunately overcooked and tough, quite a small plate of food for the price as only given a dessert spoon of sliced potatoes for some reason but the heritage carrots and jus were lovely.

The breakfast wasn't great, tinned fruit and there wasn't any spinach for eggs Florentine and no decent alternative.

Evening meal was excellent. There was a noisy event on, but the staff managed to get us into a quiet part of the restaurant.

Two extremely small niggles. There was what looked like a small blob of toothpaste left on the sink in the bathroom, maybe a little more attention to detail next time. I had the banoffee bread and butter pudding for dessert. Nice, crispy bread on the top but I feel that the underneath could have done with being cooked for a little longer. That could just be a personal thing though.

Room was lovely, perfect for me. Super comfy bed with soft and firmer pillows, firmer ones were much appreciated. Super shower, very invigorating. As a glasses wearer I absolutely the magnifying bit on the bathroom mirror, what a great idea! I was warned beforehand that there was an event going on but apart from the bar being busy it was great. Once in my room I couldn't hear any noise at all. 10/10.

It is in a village so access roads are narrow. However to access via A39 was the easiest way to property which is a couple of miles off main road.n

Modern. Well equipped. Good restaurant. Helpful staff.

The hotel was in a tiny village and had to drive to Wells to go to supermarkets or restaurants.

Breakfast was really nice. The location was idyllic with lovely views, peaceful. The bed was comfortable and staff was polite.

There was a wedding party and we weren't informed. Bar area therefore busy and noisy..understandably but we could not sit and relax as we had hoped - and ended up going elsewhere for evening meal.

Felt the charge per dog was excessive as they didn't get any dog bed bowl or treats where other hotels have done in the passed. If nothing provided feel should be half the amount charged at present

A little disappointed with breakfast choice, I would have liked a low fat/calorie option. Having said we were happy with our choices. The only other point I would make there is no sign to say where reception is on arrival and we had to ask the lady in hair dressers where to go.

The staff were friendly and efficient. The room was large and comfortable, with a lovely view towards Glastonbury Tor. We ate there 3 nights running, 2 nights there were special meal offers which excellent value for money. The curry on Thu night was delicious

Walk to reception, being disabled a bit of a hike with luggage. Also could use a lift or somewhere on website to request a ground floor room but the young man on reception was great and carried our luggage up for us.

Situation for local attractions. Good for food not having to go out.
