Too bad for the noise, the visual pollution and all the foot traffic with the major real estate development happening right in the parking lot of the castle, less than 100 meters away.

Amazing property, great amenities and service, and would absolutely recommend to all.

Builder work on nearby large scale extension spoiled the views a little, but otherwise did not cause noise or nuisance.

That I only stayed one night (LOL). Be aware that the food and beverages are a little more expensive than other places but totally worth it if you are splurging for a special night or two.

What did I like? ....... EVERYTHHING!! Our room was beautiful, the service impeccable, the meals delicious. It was a perfect place to celebrate a milestone birthday.

Can’t fault it.

Everything. From the setting of the property to the staff, food, cleaners. All lovely people. It is situated in my home town and I love what the owners have done with the building. Amazing!

The castle was phenomenal. Booked a large double room which turned out to be the size of an apartment. The bathroom was huge. Everything was immaculate and the staff were amazing. The grounds are like something from a postcard everywhere you looked.

The water was not draining properly in the shower tray. My clothes were wet by the overflowed water.

The room was large and comfortable. We didn't eat dinner at the restaurant but we enjoyed the bar. We were a little worried about the location right next to the motorway but it wasn't noisy. We slept well.

Bar was lacking in comfort and nothing to do as no spar facility, so if it rains or snows you are stuck in your room.

Very friendly, great resturant and food and the room was excellent and very comfortable, great parking and river walks right on the hotels door step

There is significant construction work on a new large building on entering the grounds. It would been good if the hotel had highlighted this in advance, although other than affecting first impressions, it did not impact a fabulous stay.

We informed the hotel a week before arriving that my wife was allergic to dairy products. We were told that this would not be an issue and that we could book an evening meal at the Hotel restaurant as the chefs would make something suitable. Whilst my meal was excellent, it turned out that they did not really have many options for my wife eg the apple crumble was going to be apple without the crumble or the dressing! This was not a huge deal for us as we are used to difficulties that her dietary requirements pose but she was a little disappointed as the Hotel did appear to promise more. Nevertheless, she did enjoy her main course.

The room was stunning, the food excellent and the location perfect for our trips into Glasgow.

Only critique would be there was no dog friendly areas in the public spaces and a small section of the bar would’ve been appreciated.

Beyond exceptional. Extremely attentive staff, room and hotel were simply world leading in cleanliness & well chosen furniture. View were stunning & the food was beyond description! Mouth watering dishes were had and all at reasonable prices. Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back. The dog bowls & food menu were an extra treat!
