The staff were warm and friendly as was the pub. The pizza delicious and the garden chalet room perfect for what we needed with parking directly outside. An ideal little base for our stopover to Scotland. Breakfast was also delicious.

The window didn’t shut properly in the bedroom. There were cobwebs and a dead spider. Bathroom door was hanging off, there was light missing from ceiling. The shower temperature was temperamental. The heating was not controlled from the rooms during winter so made it quite cold.

The food and the service. A friendly atmosphere

My room had a bath with a hand held shower, so I didn't use it. I also reported the lack of heating in the room, hopefully this will now be sorted

The food was good, the bed was comfortable and the staff were welcoming.

The flooring in our room was not even (nobody’s fault as it’s an old building) but it made the bed feel on an angle. Think the kettle in our room was older than me!

Great location for a stop off on our journey to Scotland. The room we had was very basic but comfortable for what we needed it for (just one night) food was nice and the staff were very friendly

Very small en suite facility in our room and no hanging space for clothing. Little cupboard or draw space in the bedroom. Dogs allowed in dining room there were four at the time we had dinner and three at breakfast.

Friendly welcome and service from staff. No traffic noise in our room at the front. Good menu for evening meals and tasty food served promptly. Excellent breakfast. Plenty of off street car parking

Although the room was clean there were a few items that needed attention and a little maintenance. Noisy heating pipework. Food was disappointing and expensive for what it was.

Convenient for motorway. Good sized family room. Ok for an overnight stay

An ideal location for breaking up the journey to Scotland, just a few minutes from the M6. The room was very good. We were lucky enough to arrive late on a Sunday and they still had some lunches left, which were excellent. Breakfast the following morning was as good.

Bathroom - cracked sink, cracked tile in shower and floor/skirting board in need of attention. Bedside cabinets and table surfaces in restaurant sticky and unclean. Food overpriced considering its quality.

Location very handy for M6. Staff friendly and helpful. Bed very comfortable. Complimentary toiletries quality and very welcome.
