Dated bathroom. Not many towels for 3 people. Having to book for breakfast night before. . Alittle noisy in front room due to traffic.

Comfy bed. Warm room. Lovely food. Easy check in/out. Lovely exterior. Iron, hairdryer. Good location for Middlesbrough. Massive bed.

If I had one thing that concerned me, just a little, it was the locks on the room doors, They need updating to a better lock system as was worried at first but everything was fine just seem a little out dated for such a nice hotel.

The Hotel itself is absolutely set in in lovely grounds. The reception staff were lovely and welcoming, our first visit to this part of the world. We were booked in without any issues and given our room number and key. Would have preferred ground floor room but that is my fault, not theirs, as I should of requested one, due to heart problems with stairs. The room was basic with everything you needed, NOW the beds, WOW they must be one of the nicest, comfortable beds we have ever slept on!!! I would never leave my bed if I had one of those at home. Amazing. The bathroom maybe needs a little touching up with rust in bath etc but basic for what you need I wasn't spending my weekend in there so everything was fine. Breakfast for the two days, We were shown to our table, sat and ordered, Coffee first and my only thing was I would of liked a few coffees but didn't ask as no one else seemed to get another one either so do not know if you have to ask or if its extra charge. Ordering breakfast quite straight forward requesting what you would like in your full English all presented well and cooked to perfection, no complaints from either my partner or I. You could help yourself to cereal, yogurt etc and was a lot of choice for all. I used the ladies in the eating area and they were immaculate, also the cleaning lady ( I think she wore hearing aids) well what a lovely friendly lady she was, she went out of her way to say good morning and always a smile on her face, made us feel so welcome. Serving staff were all pleasant and welcoming too. Also the Chef thank you food was lovely. One more mention is to the night porter on reception, we had left our room key at reception as not to lose it, and when coming back to collect he was lovely and very helpful indeed, so thank you. The whole stay was very enjoyable and if we ever come to Middlesbrough again we would definitely stay here again.

Great location for both Guisborough, Great Ayton and Nunthorpe Village where I needed to get to most of all. Staff always brilliant and breakfast great ! Pretty good value for money.

Severe mould was growing on the bathroom ceiling, and a small amounting starting came through in the bedroom

The hotel is tastefully decorated. The evening meal was very good as was the breakfast and the staff every efficient and helpful. Although our room faced the road there was no road noise due to the extra glazing on the windows.

The only real complaint we had was directed at the weather! Perhaps the television services could include access to text, news, etc.

Warm reception from the manager, Anthony, who knew that we had a breakdown on route, and therefore arrived between meal times. Anthony arranged for the Chef to provide a platter of nibbles in the bar where he already had a couple of drinks waiting for us. We knew our weekend break had now started in earnest....

Everything was lovely apart from I ordered pancake stack for my breakfast and one of the pancakes was too hard.

Accomadation was very clean and comfortable. Restaurant was decorated lovely , very warm and welcoming.

The bathroom needs updating, looking very tired. Having to constantly login to the internet was a real pain. It’s not possible to work remotely here. Not enough sockets in room and they need moving to be by the bedside.

Excellent, friendly staff and great food. Ground floor room was great for me.

On arrival there was no hotel staff to book you in. There was a bell to let staff know that you had arrived, after five minutes eventually someone turned up, by this time two other guests had turned up which one guest went looking for a member of staff, apart from this it was a excellent stay, and staff were friendly.

Hotel and bar was fantastic, food was absolutely lovely especially the 8oz steak.
