A small leak in the room but they gave me another one faster than I thought. The wooden floor makes a lot of noise when you step on it for my liking.

A quiet place, good service, friendly attention. The public that frequents the place is kind, friendly. The response to problems is fast, very friendly, helpful.

The plumbing was a bit eccentric and I had to remove some plug-in air fresheners as I dislike the smell - one behind the bed took some tracking down. A muesli or bran cereal would have been appreciated as one of the choices for breakfast.

The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly and the dinner superb. It was just a pub meal, but the fish was beautifully cooked and chips and batter crisp and dry. The bed was very comfortable.

Television in room very small and too high up on the wall so made watching a bit uncomfortable, Chair in room bit hard.

The room was very nice but smelt rather fusty - I tried to open the window but couldn't. There was a lot of condensation on the window which is probably the cause of the smell. It was such a shame but didn't spoil our visit.

The food was amazing - James had a sunday roast and he absolutely loved the cheese sauce with the cauliflower and broccolli in it! I had the steak pie and this had lots of delicious meat in it and the potatoes were superb - covered in a light mix of butter and herbs which was lovely - the veg were cooked well but still firm and it was all just wonderful. We were also very pleased to see the original cornicing in the room - a connection to it's historical past and days gone by.

Hotel is 4 train stops from Glasgow Central, easy to navigate around. The bar/restaurant was great, breakfast there every morning and food and drink in the evenings if wanted. Staff were really helpful and kind. Bar is well-used by locals, especially when there's a Scotland game on. I wanted to support a small hotel and be with locals rather than loads of tourists. I'd definitely visit again, and stay at this hotel. They provide teeny bottles of shower gel and fresh towels daily, very clean room.

The only thing I didn’t like was the fact that the tv in my room wasn’t working. Admittedly I should of said something when I was there, however I became very busy and didn’t have time to.

I liked the fact I didn’t have to walk far from the train station to get to the hotel so it was conveniently located.

The bed was too soft for me, but that is not an issue if I stay for one night only.

The hotel is pretty well located. Our two rooms had a separate entry, giving us more privacy and comfort. Hotel restaurant was pleasant and served us out of their working hours due to our late arrival. Will definitely stay here again.

Mattress on bed was so soft and uncomfortable. Also my room was above bar so very noisy. Think there was some sort of function going on and lots of people outside.

Our room smelled a bit to humidity. Our towels had wholes and the beds were not very comfortable. Be aware that if you book a room with a shared bathroom there is only one shower for the entire floor. But you have a sink in the room which is convenient for basic personal hygiene.

The location is convenient as it is a 10 min ride from the airport. It's good if you have a late/early flight as it was our case. The stay is comfortable for a night stay and there is breakfast included.
