Very spacious room. A lift to the second floor. Plenty of free parking.

The shower pressure was running at a trickle during 'usual getting out of bed time' ie 6.30-8.30 as majority of guests were using it during those times but fine pressure wise outside of those times. Breakfast has only 1 egg choice.

The location was very handy for town but far enough from it. There was ample parking spaces. Several choices for lounging about inside and outside no matter weather conditions.

Late bar opening and a rude staff member !!!

Lovely comfy room and dinner was very good, sadly breakfast was a buffet and most of it was only luke warm and over done, Also the bar doesnt open intil 5pm which is a nuisance if you want a drink after you arrive, Bar maid was very nice but whoever was in charge of her was extremely rude to her in front of guests,

The rooms need a makeover. Curtains ragged in the edges, shower needs a good scrub with bleach, Ty’s hairdryer wounded like an electric concrete drill. Just tired but adequate.

Impressed building which has been very grand. Refurbished common areas are quite lovely. Breakfast was generous with a full range of buffet hot and cold selections

The size of the room was little small but not a major downfall.the location is far from where I am so can’t go here often but as we were on holiday this is fine.

The breakfast was good and enjoyed it had a few options so was all good the location is far but we where on holiday so was a change of scenery and enjoyed the comfortable bed room could have been a bit bigger but not a major downfall

Um… it’s a relic. I could mention the torn curtains, the sign in the bathroom that was supposed to tell me how to use the shower that was likely posted two shower fixtures ago (instructions told me to turn knobs that weren’t there), toilet seat slides around a bit, and general maintenance seems to be at a stand still because apparently they are renovating soon.

It was a great location to stop over for the night on our three day road trip around Scotland.

The room was in need of a makeover, the first time on our roadtrip the wife had mentioned the cleanliness of a room but I don't look at the skirting, overall it was OK for a short stay to see the area at a good price

The location was good, from the outside it looks an impressive old building, we had room only for 2 nights as we were on a 2 week roadtrip, the reception and bar areas looked nice what we could see.

Booking was both breakfast and dinner included in price of £402 for 3 nights. First night we were presented with a full (quite highly priced) menu. When we questioned this we were told that we had £20 each to spend on food, anything more than that would have to be paid for. We DID NOT have a good dinner and were told at reception that we were £10 in credit .Unfortunately, we had to cancel the 3rd night due to a family emergency at home. We were given a three course menu on that night which was good. Had we been given that on the Friday night we would have been happy. We feel that a partial refund should have been offered. We noticed several guests did not eat in the restaurant a second time. All in all, not a great experience. Would appreciate a response.

prices of the meals for dinner were too expensive we would have ate in the restaurant if the prices were a bit better as it was we walked into town and found a pub to have a meal and it looked like the restaurant in the hotel was empty and I can only assume due to the prices, even if they had a smaller bar menu we would have used that. decor was a bit shabby in places with paper coming off the walls quick fix by sticking them back on and the chairs in the lounge could do with updating or a cheaper option would be to put throws on the ones that are shabby

Check in staff not very welcoming and came across a bit rude. One of lights in room not working Curtains need replaced, torn. Dog hairs on carpet, not from my dog! Golden hairs my dog is black.

The food was ok but expensive for what it was. I ordered the steak pie with mashed potatoes. It wasn’t a full pie but a top crust and it came with one spoonful of potatoes
