This is not ‘high end’ but it is warm, comfortable and welcoming and I would stay again in a second. Warm welcome, bike stored safely and I was offered a room with a bath, very thoughtful. Had an excellent evening meal and breakfast. Staff all cheerful and helpful. Great value for money. Excellent hot chocolate sachet and tunnocks caramel wafers in the room, which I was delighted to see after a days cycling.

Nothing really. There were some small details (like a tv remote needed a good wipe), and a bit more information about the room on booking.com, but this is nothing compared to the wonderful stay I had.

Everything was exceptionally good. The hotel has such a good atmosphere, a very traditional hospitality, comfy and clean room. The food at the pub is very good, locally sourced and made fresh to order, and a fab selection of beverages. A very nice atmosphere at the pub, with crackling fire and a nice chat with folk. The breakfast is generous and hearty, will definitely keep you going for a full day of adventures. The room is cozy and just the right temperature, the bed is comfy and the shower is warm. I absolutely loved staying there, and would be back for sure.

We liked the atmosphere in the bar where we checked in. The food was lovely , but most of all we liked the fact that we could plug in our electric car at the hotel. The owner was really helpful in this matter as the car charger is his own, (not a public charger) , but can be used by his guests on request!!

Staff were really helpful and polite. I had an evening meal steak pie and sticky toffee pudding which I couldn’t fault and a couple of pints of Guinness which again I couldn’t fault. Work away most days and stay in hotels so limit myself to one cooked breakfast a week and I wish I had chosen this day to have one after briefly speaking to other guests

Proper pub stay, the room was comfortable, choice of real ale, food was great. The owners and staff were friendly and we chatted to others in the busy bar. Will definitely be back.

Only little negative was the wait to be seen by member of staff to our room despite ringing the bell. We were waiting for over 10 minutes. However it was busy with guests at bar and food service that evening and with the hotel being outstanding as my above review states, I'm sure this doesn't normally happen.

Property was fantastic with a very spacious room and ensure. Evening meal was outstanding!! Massive platefuls and all home cooked. My husband had steak...Best he's tasted I opted for the haggis lasagne which was very good. The place was extremely busy on arrival and all locals friendly. The breakfast was superb with range of cereals, porridge and cooked breakfast all again fantastic. The Bar has a pool table and drinks are reasonable priced. Staff very friendly. Overall 10 out of 10. We will be back in the near future im sure.

Could have done with breakfast starting earlier as we had a long journey to do to south of england and breakfast didnt start until 8am.

Very good breakfast. Lovely warm accommodation in bitterly cold weather. Very welcoming staff member. Excellent for dogs as made very welcome. Great beer!!

Lovely little hotel set in the quaint town of Carrbridge. Very cosy pub with friendly staff and locals to spend the evening. Breakfast was fantastic. An ideal base if exploring the Cairngorms region for a few days.

No issues other than the shower not working due to volume of guests showering at the same time but I was a discount as a result which was fiat.

Can’t really think of any great downside. Hotel is in a quite old building so if you like super modern fixtures and fittings perhaps not for you.

Location was good for us, breaking a journey further north. Good parking and friendly bar/restaurant and also separate dining room. Breakfast was excellent, well served and freshly cooked. Room was pleasant with good en-suite.
