Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomOur bed was solid. The woodshed was only open one night of our stay. There was nowhere to eat our second night except for the buffet and that didn’t sound nice. The bedroom walls are so thin you can hear next doors conversations.
I liked the woodshed pub

United KingdomThe dinner costing £24 was hardly matching my children’s school dinner. No fault to the chefs, but they were probably told to work with the cheapest available ingredients. Also 30 minutes queue at check in.
Location, but a bit spoilt by roaring dinosaurs. Room was comfortable

United KingdomThe last time I was there I had a bigger room but I had a much smaller one this time. The shower taps were quite difficult to turn off and on and the cubicle was rather small.
The location is very good and it was very peaceful

United KingdomThere was something poorly organised about the computer systems on checking in. This resulted in long delays of 20 minute queues at the Reception desk and also on ordering food at the bar cafe. The system needs simplifying we believe.
Very clean, free parking, comfy beds, very good quality furnishings and black out curtains. Professional staff who were friendly and efficient, mainly Polish workers I think. A lovely swimming pool and sauna to use for hotel residents. Needs £1 coin for the lockers.

United KingdomThe fact that we had our dog with us and it was fairly comfortable
We were in the dog owners part of the hotel and it did feel OK but the flush on the toilet made a noise like it had a brass band in the bathroom every time it was flushed

United KingdomFood not good value. Room needed updating. Bath was scratched up and stained didn’t use it. We paid a lot of money for this room cheaper to stay at Champneys Spa including food and loads of facilities. Hotel generally needs updating. Staff very helpful and friendly.

United KingdomMy room didn’t have toilet paper which wasn’t great but other than that nothing stuck out to me that I would feel the need to complain about.
I found the value for money to be great. I went with my 4 year old child. We drove up and spent the day at landmark adventure park and the hotel was a simple 15 minute drive away. I found the grounds to be nice, well maintained, ample parking and most importantly, it was a fantastic place to take my son who didn’t care what the room looked like. The room was pretty basic, but for the price, I got exactly what I paid for. I was concerned about the heat, but my room did have a wee window and I was lucky enough to have a fan so basically, we had everything we needed. WiFi also worked fine throughout. Playground was nice and maintained for the children and there seemed to be a few different areas that we didn’t get a chance to check out due to time constraints. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel- it was once again, adequate for the price (great for kids) and I found the servers to be quite nice. Staff were also very very friendly and great natured with children and there were some activities and arcade rooms which could use some improvement but once again, kids do not care and for the peace that their entertainment brings me, I’m not complaining! The pool facilities were also clean, well temperatured and shallow for children. The slide opened up for 20 minutes every session and the kids had a blast. over all, I paid less then £60 For the room, and I feel that I got great value for my money especially with the added benefit of being able to easily access a lot of fun things to do with kids.

United KingdomThe only negative was the room was uncomfortably hot. My daughter lay on the bathroom floor from 2am to 4am to try and get some sleep. Credit though, we were provided with two fans, there was supposed to be one in the room but it was missing. It was a shame because it spoilt the rest of a good stay. No heating on in the room, just a hot day and a muggy night in a well insulated building. No one would have slept without the fans.
The breakfast was very good, so good I felt obliged to leave a gratuity and let the supervisor know.
