The only negative was the room was uncomfortably hot. My daughter lay on the bathroom floor from 2am to 4am to try and get some sleep. Credit though, we were provided with two fans, there was supposed to be one in the room but it was missing. It was a shame because it spoilt the rest of a good stay. No heating on in the room, just a hot day and a muggy night in a well insulated building. No one would have slept without the fans.

The breakfast was very good, so good I felt obliged to leave a gratuity and let the supervisor know.

The rooms were filthy, outdated and uncomfortable we actually found it funny at the time but looking back now it was a bit embarrassing that they have great staff, great location and facilities and they can't clean a room

The staff are so nice every single one of them wanted to make us feel 5 stars very nice atmosphere in the bar, breakfast was so tasty everything fresh and cooked with care

The bedroom had not been properly cleaned and the noise from the adjoining room was awful. For £175 without breakfast and no offer of a discount for an untidy room(kids toys and clothes left under the bed too), it was not good value.

Room could do with updating and freshened up with new paint and mattress, bed was so uncomfortable it was like lying on a pile on rubble.

Room's sound insulation was poor. Walking initiated creaking noise on the floor which leaked through to the room all night. There also seemed to be a blockage in the toilet which made a loud noise with the tap being on.

Room was way too hot, it was on 2nd floor and there was no lift or assistance to take baggage up. there was only 1 option for breakfast, could do with coffee shop area open earlier with breakfast sandwiches or similar for those that don’t want full English.

Although the rooms were clean. They were bare with no picture on the wall. For the price I paid I expected a little decoration. The noise traveling from other rooms and the corridors were bad.

Let down by small bed uncomfy pillows, noisy guests. Smell of marajuana in hotel corridors. Shower wouldn’t adjust very hot. No batteries on tv remote control. Very disappointing. Check in time very late 4pm when check out is 10am. Not good value.

The cleaning staff were desperate to get in to clean the room. They even chappedbthe door to remind us it was a 10am check out. The vast majority of people will respect this. So no need to be inpatient.

I thought I got a bargain when I booked because I was thinking to past stays, but what I had was a budget internal room with a small double bed, still good value but not what I was expecting. Although the bathroom was large it lacked basics like a towel rail.

I've stayed here in the past when it was a Hilton so I know it has potential. The bathroom was almost as big as the bedroom.
