Our room was too hot, the heating was off, we had the fans on, windows open and it still was impossible to cool down what really affected our ability to sleep well in the room.

I liked the atmosphere in the hotel. Especially the social areas, main lobby, restaurant etc. Food was good as well, we enjoyed our breakfast and main courses. However I would have liked having the option to have a la carta menu as well on top of the buffet.

Very small bathroom, had to climb behind door to shut it. First room they gave me smelt of cigarettes so I requested to be moved which they did but room was small, bed up against the wall and not a lot of storage. Bed wasn’t comfy and could feel springs and I’m not a heavy person.

Nice hotel local to attractions and location good for hiking but close to shops if needed

The bedrooms are very tired and definitely need a little love and upkeep. There is also definitely a lack of staff. Only one front of house staff member on the woodshed bar, it was lovely weather and busy and a rather long wait for drinks.

The property had an onsite fun house and swimming pool so was great for kids. You can walk down to the river which was beautiful. The evening music was also lovely to chill with the family in the evening.

We didn't have breakfast because of the cost (we generally have a light breakfast but would be having to pay for full meal). Dinner was adequate, considering the cost, though a buffet does benefit folk with bigger appetites!

Location was ideal as we could walk into the forests from the hotel. The hotel decor was a little tired but it was really good value for money. It was a real bonus to have a pool free for guests.

Check-in was a cue 14 people long at 7pm. Only one person behind reception, but two behind the bar!

Meals were good though because we moved tables, the steak was a LONG time coming

It is needing a bit of TLC as some areas were not too good. In our room there was no sink stopper and the drains were smelly! Reported it on the first day and nothing was done about it. Had to use perfume spray to make it tolerable.

It was in a good area.

Rooms and hotel were quite old and dated. The onsite restaurant was very expensive. Check in took a very long time given lots of other arrivals, and not allowing check in before 4 o clock.

Well located. Access to pool and gym.

Our bed was solid. The woodshed was only open one night of our stay. There was nowhere to eat our second night except for the buffet and that didn’t sound nice. The bedroom walls are so thin you can hear next doors conversations.

    I liked the woodshed pub

The dinner costing £24 was hardly matching my children’s school dinner. No fault to the chefs, but they were probably told to work with the cheapest available ingredients. Also 30 minutes queue at check in.

Location, but a bit spoilt by roaring dinosaurs. Room was comfortable

The last time I was there I had a bigger room but I had a much smaller one this time. The shower taps were quite difficult to turn off and on and the cubicle was rather small.

There was something poorly organised about the computer systems on checking in. This resulted in long delays of 20 minute queues at the Reception desk and also on ordering food at the bar cafe. The system needs simplifying we believe.

Very clean, free parking, comfy beds, very good quality furnishings and black out curtains. Professional staff who were friendly and efficient, mainly Polish workers I think. A lovely swimming pool and sauna to use for hotel residents. Needs £1 coin for the lockers.

The fact that we had our dog with us and it was fairly comfortable

We were in the dog owners part of the hotel and it did feel OK but the flush on the toilet made a noise like it had a brass band in the bathroom every time it was flushed

Check in too far too long. 4 people ahead if me and it tool 35mins to check in. They shut down the pool facilities for hours during the day which is unacceptable when you pick the hotel over others for these facilities.

Nice quiet location. Woodshed bar excellent
